Axis 1: "Development of the knowledge economy ( R&D&I, information society and ICT) Galician Health Cluster Created in 2011, works in the field of health innovation to the health of a "job engine" and "economic empowerment. It consists of 34 companies and 1 technological centre. Healthcare Innovation Platform Created in 2010.Within the activity of the innovation platform is the opportunity to launch two innovative projects: H2050 and Innova Saúde. Platform continues to work on other projects and in stimulating ideas. The H2050 e Innova Saúde projects Project Definition (2011) Healthcare Innovation Platform Main features The projects are defined in an agreement with the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness where SERGAS is the beneficiary of a grant funded with Regional Development Funds, within the Operational R&D&i Plan Technological Fund 2007-2013. In both cases the agreement encompasses plans of health care innovation where private enterprises are involved in solutions development through mechanisms of public Procurement of Innovation (CPI) as a tool for promoting R&D&i in the enterprises and within the model of Open Innovation promoted by SERGAS Patients and Professionals will be the key players, participating in the planning, execution and evaluation phase of the projects.

Total Budget The total 90 M include: SERGAS personnel costs Investments in equipment and infrastructure Technological developments and process improvements The 20% of the total budget (18 M ) should be earmarked for innovative public procurement (IPP) The 21% H2050 in the project and 20% in the project IS
