Introduction and Overview Welcome and Introductions Purpose and Context for Convening this Workshop To promote and foster community solutions that will work to reduce stigma, discrimination and health disparities To help promote and enhance culturally competent mental health and substance use services, programs and initiatives To align with the Framework for Eliminating Cultural, Linguistic, Racial and Ethnic Behavioral Health Disparities Increase capacity of individuals and organizations to successfully apply to provide services in the Mental Health and Substance Use Services (MHSUS) System of Care
Workshop Objectives Participants will be report an increased understanding of: Services delivered and populations served in the MHSUS System of Care Process and expectations for responding to a Request for Proposals (RFP) to become a contractor in the MHSUS System of Care Strategies to consider in seeking to becoming a County contractor, including submitting an RFP, seeking a fiscal sponsor, and/or developing strategic collaborations Upcoming funding opportunities and resources for staying informed of funding opportunities How to write a competitive proposal, including developing a scope of work with measurable objectives and outcomes, and developing clear budgets with reasonable costs to achieve the program objectives Grant writing and fiscal sponsor technical assistance resources
