Who is eligible to participate in the payroll program? All regular, full and part-time US based employees can actively participate. Can I designate my contribution to any organization? No. The annual giving campaign benefits the Celanese Foundation. This will make an even bigger impact on the non-profit organizations selected, because they will receive 100% of your dollars plus the Celanese match. The site committee will work to put your dollars to use in our community in the most effective way. What types of organizations will my contribution benefit? The Celanese Foundation has a mission to create opportunities for at risk families to learn, grow and thrive. To receive funding from the Celanese Foundation, partner organizations must focus on initiatives that center on assisting at risk families, primary education and safe places to live and grow. How does the site committee select organizations? The site committee will select organizations based on the following criteria: Charter & focus areas of the foundation Employee interests Impact our dollars can have on an organization Location Level of employee involvement/volunteerism Who is eligible to participate in the program? All US employees, retirees and contractors are invited to participate. (note: retirees and contractors can only make a contribution via check, cash or stock) What forms of payments are accepted when making a donation? Donations can be made through payroll deduction (one-time or recurring), stock, check or cash. Are there fees when I make a credit card donation? Unfortunately, credit card fees are unavoidable. YourCause and SVCF do NOT take any percentage of the donation made. For international users the best way to minimize credit card fees is to complete your donation directly to the organization and then Record an Offline Donation on the site. This will ensure you still receive the match for your donation, but the fees are minimized. Domestic credit card fees are 2.8% and International credit card fees are 5.85%. Please note: for international credit card donations there is a currency conversation that will be shown on your credit card statement.
