Scholarship Any Senior interested in applying for the UNC Chapel Hill Morehead-Cain, NC State Parks, UNC Charlotte Levine, or Davidson Belk Scholarship, see Mr. MIller by Friday the 23rd.

Chick-fil-a Contest The school with the most sales from Monday (9/19) until Thursday (9/22) between the hours of 3pm-10pm each night will receive a free milkshake coupon for each staff member and student!
Art Window Contest Art students will be decorating a window at Chick-fil-a to go along with their school spirit week. Go by and check it out. Tell them you're from North and a percentage of each purchase goes toward the school. Winner announced Septembre 23rd!
Band BBQ Plates The NWHS Band Booster Club is hosting a BBQ chicken fundraiser. The meal will take place on Saturday, September 24 at the Mulberry Fairplains Ruritan club. The plates are $7 each and must be pre-ordered. Please call the band office at 903-6264 or see any current band student to order.
Driver s Education Any student interested in the October driver's education class need to pick up a registration form in the office. Forms are due back no later than Oct. 11. Students must be 14 ½ by Oct. 17 to be eligible for the class.
The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) will be given on October 11th to current 10th-12th graders. Interested students need to sign up in the counseling office. Students interested in the military, or simply to learn more about themselves are encouraged to take this exam. Cost=FREE
PSAT Held at NWHS on Saturday, October 15th. College bound Sophomores & Juniors are strongly encouraged to take the PSAT. Cost is $15 (fee waivers may be available) and must be paid no later than Friday, September 23rd. **See a counselor to register.**

Voting Students interested in being a Student Election Assistant for the November 8th Presidential Elections need to pick up an application from Mr. Miller. You must be 17 years of age, outgoing, and must attend a mandatory training as well as be available to work from 6am until 9pm on election day. Applications must be turned in by September 29th. Pay is $155.
