Status of Energy Industry Fundamentals Review in Fall 2011 for implementation in January 2012 curriculum. Students will need to participate in online program.
Future Recruitment Strategy/ Plans Energy Consortia to market the program statewide in conjunction with the Get Into Energy brand. Regional programs will become model to encourage statewide campuses to continue the model to recruit this demographic and cohort program to increase completion rates.
Sustainability Plan Use this model as we continue to recruit for the Energy Industry. Gather student and employer testimonies and incorporate in presentation for career fairs, employer presentations, Spring and Fall Boot Camps, etc. Look for opportunities to partner with Utilities in the classroom and the workplace; i.e. job shadowing, internships, co-op work programs, etc.
Successes - Associate s Degree Program Approval - Continuous Recruitment Efforts - Cohort Model - Career Coaches - Boot Camps o Tours o Employee Presenters o Hands On - Improved relationships among Workforce Development, Ivy Tech and Employers - Using Model program as blueprint for success
