Emphasizes psychomotor skills necessary to provide selected advanced practice nursing interventions utilized in the care of acutely ill adults in a variety of settings. The impact of social, cultural, psychological, physical and spiritual factors will be explored. It enables the students to develop assessment, critical thinking and decision making skills required for planning and implementing the appropriate nursing care to clients suffering a wide variety of commonly presenting acute and chronic illnesses. General Learning Objectives 1. Discuss appropriate assessment techniques to utilize in caring for clients with various complex health conditions of illness. 2. Apply nursing process to plan the care of clients experiencing complex conditions of illness. 3. Discuss the diagnostic tests relevant complex health conditions. 4. Formulate nursing diagnosis and client goals for clients experiencing various complex health conditions. 5.
