CSHS EF Scholarship Application 1. Read the FULL DESCRIPTION of all the individual scholarships carefully to see those for which you qualify. This is a separate download/attachment on the website: givetokids.csisd.org. 2. Please mark the scholarships you would like to apply for and fill out the attached application completely. Please note that these scholarships may require a particular major, college or some other unique qualification. 3. You will only need to fill out one application if applying for multiple foundation scholarships, unless you are applying for one of the following: Brazos Valley Republican Club Scholarship, D. Brooks Cofer, Jr. Memorial Scholarship or the Dillard P. Spriggs Scholarship for Writing and Global Citizenship. Each of these has a supplemental application that can also be downloaded from the website. Check List to Apply Go to givetokids.csisd.org, click Initiatives and Student Scholarships on the home page. Click on the Application & Info tab to the right. Download and complete application. Once your application is finished, click on Apply for Scholarship and fill out form. Upload your completed application and 2 letters of reference. Also, upload the supplemental applications if applying for one of those scholarships. Then hit Submit. Good Luck! Benny Beaver Cougar Spirit Scholarship $1,000 CSHS senior who demonstrates a commitment to community service, participates in a variety of extracurricular activities, represents the C.O.U.G.A.R. qualities and has financial need. Richard Benning Memorial Endowed Scholarship $1,000 Involvement in school activities, have held a job during high school, GPA of at least 3.0 and financial need. Berry Family Endowed Scholarship $1,000 Minimum GPA of 3.0, acceptance into a technical school, junior college or 4-year university, and financial need. Blinn College Brazos County Campuses Presidential Scholarship $5,500 (tuition for 2 semesters + books) Must use on two consecutive semesters, GPA of at least 3.0 and financial need will be given preference. Blinn College Brazos County Campuses Scholarship for Books $500 (books only; must be attending Blinn College) Must use on two consecutive semesters, GPA of at least 3.0 and financial need will be given preference. The Brazos County Retired School Personnel Scholarship $750 Intends to pursue a career in education, GPA of at least 2.5 and financial need. Brazos Valley Republican Club Scholarship $500 (Requires supplemental application) Submit an essay about the word integrity and its implications as a personal and social virtue. Mary L. Broussard Achievement Scholarship $1,000 GPA of at least a 3.0, involvement in community service and extra-curricular school activities, and financial need. D. Brooks Cofer, Jr. Memorial Scholarship $500 (Requires supplemental application) Pursuing law as an educational goal and GPA of at least 3.5. Copy Corner Scholarship for Community Service $1,000 Commitment to community service, GPA of at least a 2.5 and financial need. CSISD Education Foundation Scholarship $1,000 GPA of at least a 3.0, involvement/leadership in school activities, and community service. CSISD Education Foundation 10 th Anniversary 50 Men Who Can Cook Scholarship $5,000 GPA of at least a 3.0, involvement/leadership in school activities, and community service. Lt. Col. Vernon Files Scholarship $1,000 Must be a cooperative education student and have a GPA of at least 3.0 or higher. Ashley Lorraine Hobbs Memorial Scholarship $1,000 Must be majoring in education with an emphasis in special education. Darien Jochen Memorial Endowed Scholarship $1,000 Must have maintained an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher; must have played a high school sport all four years; and must have additional school or community service beyond being a member of a church youth group. Mike Patterson Memorial Endowed Scholarship $1,000 Priority given to a student pursuing trade or technical school/college, student must be a hard worker and giving of him/herself but not necessarily an honor roll student, and financial need. Susan & Bill Patton Scholarship $1,000 Intends to pursue a career in education, and a GPA of at least 3.0 or higher.
Texas Democratic Women of the Brazos Valley Scholarship $500 For young women who demonstrate interest in political activities particularly within the Democratic Party. Dean Wile Memorial Endowed Scholarship $1,000 Minimum two-year membership in FFA, minimum 2.5 GPA, must be majoring in agriculture-related field. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen. Community service a plus.
