The Clive Berghofer Centre (CBC) is a purpose-built facility which is a key component in continuing the Brisbane Broncos sustained on-field and off-field success. Located on Fulcher Road, Red Hill directly opposite the original clubhouse, the Clive Berghofer Centre will accommodate several areas with community access and open up new green space for the general public. The community facilities located on Level 1 are designed to facilitate education and learning, and will be available to community groups at no charge within business hours when not in use by the Club. To be eligible to use the facilities, groups are required to submit a hire form and provide an overview of how their program aligns to the facilities objectives: 1. To encourage more people within the Queensland community, in particular the local community, to participate in a wide range of health, education, social, cultural and community activities. 2. To encourage the widest possible community participation to link with regional thinking about health and wellbeing for a number of population groups which represent a diverse cross section of the community. 3. To support the activities of other local schools, sporting associations and sports assemblies whom operate within the Queensland community. 4. To increase opportunities for people by access to educational opportunities/increasing aspirations for education and youth empowerment through learning.
CONDITIONS OF HIRE Between The Clive Berghofer Centre (Brisbane Broncos) & INTERPRETATION In these conditions, unless the context states otherwise: Club means the Brisbane Broncos Football Club; Centre Coordinator means a nominated representative of the Club and includes any other person authorised to act on behalf of such person; Centre means the Community Room or Theatrette; Facility means any part of the CBC; Hirer means the party identified as such in the Hire Form and includes, where appropriate, any participants, invitees, spectators and guests associated with or permitted to enter the Facility by the Hirer; Hire means the use of the Hired Area under the Hire Form; and Hire Period means the period of time specified in the Hire Form Business Hours means 8.30pm-5.00pm for the theatrette and 8.30am-10.00pm for the community room Business Day means during weekdays (weekends and public holidays not included) USE OF THE CENTRE The Hirer is permitted to use the Centre indicated in the Hire Room for the Hire Period, subject to the compliance by the Hirer with all terms of the Conditions of Hire. The Hired area shall not be used for any activity other than that specified in the Hire Form. The Hirer shall at all times follow the instructions of the Centre Coordinator with respect to the use of the Centre. RISK MANAGEMENT The Hirer is responsible for the application of appropriate risk management and occupational health and safety procedures for all activities conducted at the Centre during the Hire Period. The Hirer s obligations include, but are not limited to: - Compliance with the OH&S Act 2011 - Cancellation or postponement of any activity should the condition of the Hired Area be identified as hazardous or where the safety of participants may be at risk FIRST AID The Hirer is responsible for the provision of all first aid requirements for activities associated with the Hire. DAMAGES The Hirer must pay, on demand, any costs incurred by the Club to repair or make good any damages in the Centre (including equipment) arising out of or incidental to the Hire. OUTSIDE HOURS If the Hirer wishes to use the room outside of business hours a security cost will be on charged. This cost will be advised prior to the confirmation of booking and must be paid in full 7 days prior to the Hire period.
IT The Hirer will be responsible for organising their own IT requirements and equipment required as part of their Hire. A mobile whiteboard is available on request, all other equipment (eg. data projectors, computers etc) are the responsibility of the Hirer. CANCELLATION PROCEDURE The Hirer may cancel a booking by giving written notice to the Centre Coordinator at least seven days before the commencement of the hire period. CANCELLATION BY THE CENTRE COORDINATOR The Centre Coordinator may cancel a booking if the Facility is required for a major event or if the area is unfit for use. Neither the Club nor the Centre Coordinator will be liable in respect to any costs, loss or damage sustained as a result of the cancellation of the booking. INSURANCE The Hirer shall at all times during the Hire Period, be the holder of a current minimum $10,000,000 public liability policy of insurance. A copy of the policy and certificate of currency must be provided to the Centre Coordinator prior to the commencement of the hire period. If you are a regular Hirer of the TACF this will be an annual request, and the Centre Coordinator will keep a register of all up to date insurance certificates. SUPERVISION The Hirer is responsible, during the Hire period, for the supervision and control of all persons who enter the Facility for any purpose relating to the Hire. This responsibility extends to all participants, spectators and guests associated with the Hire, and includes all facilities such as foyers, meeting rooms, toilets and storerooms. CLEANING DURING HIRE PERIOD the Hirer must ensure the general cleanliness of the Hired area during the Hire Period. This includes the pick-up and collection of litter and the clean-up of any liquid spills. AFTER HIRE PERIOD after the Hire Period, the Hirer must leave the Hired area including all fixtures and equipment in the same condition as previous to the Hire period. If the Hirer leaves the Facility in an unsatisfactory condition, the Hirer will automatically forfeit their organisation s right to use the Centre in the future and will be charged for restoration. PROHIBITED AREAS The Hirer is strictly prohibited from access to all areas outside of the Centre, Cafe and bathroom facilities located next to the Centre. ALCOHOL No alcohol is permitted to be brought into the Facility at any time during the Hire period. FOOD AND BEVERAGES Food and beverages are not to be taken in to the Centre under any circumstances. The Café located on the Ground Level can be used if catering is needed but this is not to be bought in to the Centre. SMOKING Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the facility. The Hirer must enforce this ban at all times during the Hire period for their participants.
SIGNAGE The Hirer must not affix any signs, decals or banners to any part of the centre without the approval of the Centre Coordinator. No blue tack, staples, pins or adhesive tape may be used.
