What is DoD-CMS? An application that supports the processes of enrolling, identifying, and managing the needs of recovering Service members and their Families DoD-CMS is a NON-Clinical Case Management tracking system used by both NON-clinical and clinical Case Managers Common Access Card (CAC)/Web enabled User Roles established in the application Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) certified under new Risk Management Framework (RMF) structure Compliant with all HIPAA, Privacy Act Policies, National Archive and Records Administration (NARA) for records disposition, and Ports and Protocols and Management Services (PPSM) Cloud Expandable with active failover Continuity-of-Operations Plan (COOP) backup servers within the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) network Expanded tablet/ipad capabilities for mobile access from anywhere Quarterly updates are made to the application Fully functional Help Desk 3
Value of DoD-CMS DoD-CMS maximizes technology to streamline many of the processes involved with supporting the recovering Service member and Family members Actively connected with Defense Eligibility Enrollment Reporting System (DEERS) through the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) to auto-populate defined data fields for enrollee and dependent demographic information Promoting single source application access for non-clinical and clinical case management users Reduces redundant data and processing time supporting Continuum of Care activities Document library for organizations to keep uniformity across the programs with access control capability Document control and tracking at case management level Allows the ability to have consolidated cases for Service members and their Families or separate cases for each Family member Improving collaboration support teams and agencies Interfaces with Marine Corps Wounded/Ill/Injured Tracking System (MCWIITS) tool 4
DoD-CMS Users The active user communities include: USAF Recovery Care Coordinators (RCCs) and Warrior and Survivor Care USAR RCCs, One Minute Assistance and Psychological Health USMC RCCs, Recovery Team Members (RTMs), Marine and Family Programs Division and Special Operations Command (MARSOC) USN Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) case management at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) Army National Guard (ARNG) Psychological Health Employment Case Management Employment Coordinators Currently there are: Over 1,100 System Users Over 35,000 Cases 5
