DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF AND FIRE MARSHAL DAVID SWEET Fire Prevention Bureau Responsibilities of the Fire Prevention Bureau include: Preventive Fire Safety inspections of businesses, places of assembly, county buildings, educational and health institutions and other occupancies for compliance in accordance with the Florida Fire Prevention Code 5 th Edition, the State of Florida Uniform Fire Safety Rules and Standards, the Broward County Amendments to the Florida Fire Prevention Code as well as the North Lauderdale Municipal Code.
