Getting the grant to your organization 1 All grants are now paid by EFT All grants are now paid directly into the charitable organization s bank account using direct deposit (electronic funds transfer or EFT) 2 Grants are paid four to six weeks after they re approved Once you receive your grant approval email, your charity will receive the funds on the 21 st of the following month. 3 Grants are administered by our partner, Benevity Your charity can check their online Benevity account statement to confirm receipt of the grant. The grant will appear as a transfer from the Canadian Online Giving Foundation (Benevity s partner) 4 Organizations that don t register for EFT may receive less than 100% of the grant If an organization hasn t registered for EFT, Benevity will charge a service fee of $25 USD or 7% of the total amount of the grant, and then mail a cheque. To give organizations time to register for EFT, Benevity will only start deducting the service fee after it has mailed three cheques to the organization.
