Day of Event Volunteer Details: ISU Football Fundraiser Event: Special Olympics Iowa- ISU Football Fundraiser Event Volunteering Information: Anyone who signs up using our online registration at www.soiowa.org/volunteer will receive an email one week prior to the event with volunteer and event information. Volunteer Questions: Questions about volunteering can be answered up until 4:30pm on the Friday of the week of the fundraising event. You can contact us by: o Emailing the contact for this event found on www.soiowa.org/volunteer page or on the sign up form o Emailing Volunteer1@soiowa.org o Calling the SOIA state office at 515-986-5520 o For Wells Fargo employees- You may also contact your leaders for Wells Fargo Volunteering o Please refer to our website for helpful information www.soiowa.org/volunteer After Friday at 4:30pm the state office staff will be out of the office preparing for the event with no/little access to email and no access to our state office phone. State office hours for calling: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

Who can volunteer? Individuals- Sign up just yourself or maybe you and a few friends or family members! Age Restrictions- We welcome families with children and school age students to volunteer! Persons under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian chaperone. Students or Employees- If you need verification of volunteer hours for school or work, you can find an Event Director the day of the event to sign a form, email your questions to the contact for this event found on www.soiowa.org/volunteer page, or call the state office at 515-986-5520 Athletes- We welcome any athletes that want to volunteer for this event! All athletes must come with a chaperone and are responsible for their own transportation and food/beverage purchases.

What is the ISU Football Fundraiser? ISU Football Fundraiser Information: We will be collecting donations before the ISU football game. Volunteers will stand outside of a designated gate at the stadium, collecting donations from fans. All donations will directly benefit thousands of athletes around Iowa. You will be able to stay with your party (family or friends that you came with). We will provide you with a Special Olympics Iowa smock to wear and a bucket to collect donations. There will be a volunteer meeting 2 hours prior to kick-off at the NW corner of the stadium near Gate 5, and after the short meeting donations will be collected for 90 minutes prior to kick-off. All volunteers will receive a free ticket into the game. We will not know where the location of the seats are until 1 week prior to the game. ISU is providing a limited number of parking passes that will be given out on a first come first serve basis based on sign up order. See parking details below.

When & Where? Date and Times: See www.soiowa.org/volunteer for specific dates & times for this year. October Saturday Time of the game is determined by ISU 1 week prior to the game. We will email you the time 1 week prior to the game There will be a volunteer meeting 2 hours prior to kick-off and after the short meeting, donations will be collected for 90 minutes prior to kick-off. How do I volunteer? Volunteer Sign Up: Sign up using our online registration Volunteer sign up can be located at www.soiowa.org/volunteer at the right hand column under Fundraising Volunteers and then click on Sign Up in the Register to Volunteer column. You will enter your name along with information and then any names of the members of your party/group (family or friends). Please note: Wells Fargo computers may not allow access to our Google docs sign up form so you may need to sign up on a personal device (home computer or cell phone). We encourage everyone to register on our online sign up prior to coming to volunteer at the event. The sooner the better! Volunteer Assignments: We will be collecting donations from fans who attend the ISU football game. This will take place outside the gates prior to kickoff. Volunteers will stand outside of the stadium gates, collecting donations from fans. All donations will directly benefit thousands of athletes around Iowa. You will be able to stay with your party (family or friends that you came with). Each party/group will be assigned to a gate

Day of Event Information Day of Event Parking: ISU is providing a limited number of parking passes that will be given out on a first come first serve basis based on sign up order. Those who are eligible to receive a parking pass (we will start at the top of the list and work down) will receive an email notifying them that their parking pass in the mail. We will mail all the parking passes out to the street address entered in the volunteer sign up as soon as we receive them for ISU. Parking passes will be one pass per party. The parking lot will be indicated on your pass. See parking maps below. Those who don t receive a parking passes, please seek the ISU parking assistants for direction on general parking for the football game. Day of Event Volunteer Check In: Please go to Volunteer Check-in first thing at the designated time indicated in the information email that will be sent out 1 week prior to the event. Meet at the NW corner of the stadium near Gate 5 (see maps below). Here you will receive a Special Olympics smock to wear and a bucket to collect donations along with further directions. We will assign each volunteer to a gate at this time. You will be able to stay with your party/group.

Day of Event Attire: Dress comfortably, in layers and casually. This is an active event. This is an outdoor event. Please dress accordingly. We will provide you with a Special Olympics smock to wear over your coat/clothing and a bucket to collect donations. Day of Event Weather: Please be sure to check the weather for this outdoor event You may want to bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, rain gear, water bottle, a sweatshirt, coat, mittens, etc. according to the weather. Day of Event Food & Beverage: Concession stands at the ISU football game will be available for food and drink options. Please bring money if you wish to purchase concession items.
