Engineers PEI Endowment Fund With the approval of the Membership at the 2014 Annual General Meeting, Engineers PEI has created an endowment fund at UPEI. With an initial contribution of $15,000.00, this fund will, with the help of Members and supporters of the UPEI Engineering Program, make a difference every year to a student who has chosen to complete their engineering degree at the University of Prince Edward Island. Beyond the very specific use of the income from this fund, UPEI's endowment pool is fundamental to the university's ability to plan for the long term as it provides a steady stream of income to support student success. For those of you who have made a contribution to this endowment, we hope that you take great pride in your gift and know that it will be forever felt by a UPEI engineering student. For those of you who have yet to make a gift, we encourage you to a be a part of this new and important endowed fund for a UPEI engineering student. Members and supporters will receive a tax receipt directly from UPEI for their donations, which will also be matched by Engineers PEI, up to a total amount of 50% of the net income of the Association for the previous year. This award will be granted to a graduating student from the degree program who registers as an Engineer-in-Training in Prince Edward Island and who has maintained a high academic standing throughout their engineering studies. If you would like to donate to the fund, visit: https://secure.upei.ca/donate/ In the "Designate Your Gift" section, please select, "a designated area of my choice" and enter in, Engineers PEI Graduating Student Award Donate and support future Engineers! - 8 -

Women s Soccer Team Engineers PEI Women s Soccer Team This summer marks the first year of the Engineers PEI Women s Soccer Team. This team was formed by the female engineering students at UPEI in efforts to stay fit, connected, and involved, during the summer months. With regular season games coming to an end, the players have playoffs to look forward to, entering with a tally of only 20 goals against in a 15 game season! The team is made up of women in the 2nd and 3rd year of the UPEI School of Sustainable Design Engineering program, as well as their friends. If any female engineers are interested in joining them next season, please contact the EngineersPEI office. The team did not achieve this success on their own. Numerous sponsors offered financial support that aided in the funding of jerseys, registration, league fees, and the cost of refereeing. A special thank you goes out to sponsors Engineers PEI, Atlantech, UPEI Student Union, Kool Kids afterschool care, Birt & McNeil Law, and EB Brown. - 9 -
