What Is NJROTC? NJROTC stands for Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps There is no better teacher than experience A program set up by the navy in order to educate teenagers about leadership skills needed for life. Self-Discipline It is intended to be a cadet ran program. There are two instructors that supervise and teach naval knowledge to the cadets so that they may be in charge of there own departments and jobs. But overall the cadets are in charge of the unit and its daily responsibilities.

Drill Team / Color Guard The GHS NJROTC drill team and color guard perform on a nation wide basis against other JROTC units You get to learn rifle and flag movements
Teams (cont.) In NJROTC you are sure to fit in. There is a team for every type of person such as Semper Fi, Orienteering, Academic and Rifle. Semper Fi is a physical fitness team part takes in field events with other schools Orienteering is a navigational team that competes with other schools on orienteering courses set up Academic is a knowledge team that will take test during meets. Rifle team is a marksmanship team that uses air rifles to compete with other schools for the best accuracy.
