Dear Corporate Partners: LETTER FROM THE REGIONAL FINANCE CHAIR Region II of the National Society of Black Engineers is excited to invite you to partner with us as we strive to fulfill the NSBE Mission. This year, our regional directives are to serve our membership by strengthening the foundations of their families and support systems, developing their path to purpose and direction, bridging the academic divide, and forging sound financial strategies. Doing this will require innovation, communication, execution, and the support of our corporate partners. Region II boasts 2,142 collegiate members, 964 NSBE Jr. (pre-college) members, 1,800 international members, and 44 lifetime members. In addition, our alumni technical professional membership has grown since last year, from 1194 to 1411. These members represent nearly 70 active chapters throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. According to U.S. News and World Report s 2013 National University Rankings, 11 of the top 50 ranked universities in the nation are located within Region II. In addition, our region encompasses a wealth of universities with the best undergraduate engineering programs, along with being the home of 12 historically black colleges and universities. Region II is home to some of the top talent that NSBE has to offer. During the 2012 13 academic year, the members of Region II reported a verified average GPA of 3.37 with 688 transcripts submitted.
