Has the Project Development Objective been changed since Board Approval of the Project Objective? No PHRPDODEL Components Name Public Disclosure Authorized Overall Ratings Name Previous Rating Current Rating Progress towards achievement of PDO -- Satisfactory Overall Implementation Progress (IP) -- Satisfactory Implementation Status and Key Decisions The Philippines EITI process has achieved significant gains in increasing transparency around extractives in a relatively short period. The first EITI-PH report covering 2012-2103 was published in December 2014, and the process has been recognized globally as a model of successful implementation of the EITI. This is due to the sustained high levels of interest from all three stakeholder groups -- industry, government and civil society -- as well as a 7/7/2015 Page 1 of 6
highly motivated and capable National Secretariat. In addition to meeting nearly all requirements under the EITI Standard, the recent 2012-2013 Report provided a very useful diagnostic of the issues in the sector s current governance arrangements and a number of recommendations. Media coverage of the process has been consistent and the report has been widely disseminated. The PDO identifies two EITI Reports and a successful validation as primary objectives for the project. While the MSG originally identified validation as an oblective for 2015, recent consultations between the MSG and the International EITI Secretariat have highlighted areas for improvement. As a result, the validation process will be undertaken in 2016, covering the next report (currently under preparation). Results Project Development Objective Indicators 7/7/2015 Page 2 of 6
