Students must not have any holds, have 6 months validity on passport, have valid I 20 for nest semester and be in good academic standing to receive IMMEDIATE TRAVEL SIGNATURE. Location: 2nd Floor Student Union, Room E244 C Signing Sessions: November 3rd, 18th, 2015 (11:30 AM 1:00 PM) & December 1st, 9th, 2015 (11:30 AM 1:00 PM) Please Note: Students can still submit their I 20's for travel signature requests any time. 4) Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Volunteer Opportunity: An American Cancer Society is in need of 20 volunteers to help with their event "Making Strides of Dayton". It is a celebration of "survivorship, an ocassion to express hope and shared determination to make this breast cancer's last century. Please note that UCIE will not be bale to provide transportation for this event. If you are interested and have your own transportation, please email Catherine Hernandez you name and UID at catherine.hernandez@wright.edu. Volunteers will receive a free volunteer T Shirt, bottled water and

snacks. 5)The UCIE Convo Club: Want to practice your English? Join the UCIE Convo Club on October 19th from 3 4pm in the UCIE Conference Room (Student Union E190) for a chance to interact with native English speakers and improve your skills in a fun and friendly environment. For questions, contact Catherine Hernandez at catherine.hernandez@wright.edu. 6) UCIE International Photography Contest: An opportunity to participate and shine through UCIE. During this year s International Education Week (November 16 20, 2015), the University Center for International Education (UCIE) office will hold a Photo Contest to select the participants with the awardwinning photos. There will be an exhibit of all the entries on our online gallery and in the hallway near the University Center for International Education (UCIE) office in the Student Union from November 12th to November 18th, during which the students can vote for the best photograph that will be awarded as People s Choice. All the other categories will be juried. The winners of the photo contest will be announced in a ceremony on November 20th at 3PM in the UCIE office. Deadline to submit the photograph is November 10th. The winning photos should meet one of the

following criteria: 1. Best Landscape shot 2. Best Portrait 3. Best Cultural depiction Winners from each of the categories will be awarded prizes. Photo Contest Rules: Participants must be WSU Students, Faculty/Staff, and Alumni. Each photo entry must be submitted with a completed UCIE International Education Week Photo Contest Entry Form. Forms are available at UCIE E190 Student Union or www.wright.edu/ucie/resource/ iew.html Photo can be in color or black & white. Photo must be submitted in a 1) 8 X 10 inch Hard copy (you do not need to frame) at UCIE E190 Student Union 2) Digital format with high resolution image can be emailed to ucie19@wright.edu *(Both Hard copy and Digital Format are required to be considered for the contest)* One photo entry per person. 7) UCIE Poster Contest (Win $50): An opportunity to participate and showcase your creatrivity. Create a poster for the UCIE's biggest annual event the "Wright State International Festival" with the following theme: "Innovations Around the World". The winning poster may be used as the official International Festival poster in April 2016. Contents must be of original idea/content in 300 DPI or in vector format. Submit source files and a physical print out to the UCIE office. For more information please contact Anoop at ucie19@wright.edu.

8) OPT Instructions for Fall 2015 International students graduating in fall 2015 semester may begin applying for OPT on September 21, 2015. The final date for fall 2015 graduates to apply for OPT is February 5, 2016. Choose a start date OPT between 12/20/2015 and 2/18/2016. PLEASE NOTE: If you have any reservations regarding potential graduation for fall 2015 semester, do not apply for OPT until you are certain about graduation. 9) Arabic Club's HORROR PLAY (In Arabic) Wright State University s Arabic Club will be presenting the first ever horror play in Arabic in the U.S. To support this production the Arabic Club is looking for native speakers of Arabic who are interested in acting in the performance. Additionally the production is looking for students interested in dancing in the production (nonspeaking role). Interested students should contact Dhari Ahmed (Dhari ahmed@outlook.com) for more information concerning participation.
