Giving Thanks Holiday Season 2014 FoundationYearEndCatalog 27069-J14.indd 1

From the Foundation President Dear Friend, I hope that you have been having a good year. For me and my family, 2014 has been going well. A new grandchild arrived, we have a new law student in the family, and we have experienced another year of well-being and happiness. While fortunate, you and I know that things can change in an instant. For many of our family, friends, and neighbors 2014 brought struggles of illness, unexpected diagnoses, and many other issues related to health. That is why I feel privileged to work with you toward helping CAMC touch people s lives every day. In 2014, the CAMC Foundation was able to fund numerous programs and services at CAMC for a total of more than $1.5 million through transformational gifts from donors like you. This included $84,000 for the Family Resource Center at CAMC Women and Children s Hospital; $50,000 for the Childbirth Education Program; $300,000 for nursing and medical student scholarships; $15,000 for the Pediatric Oncology Program; and $50,000 to fight childhood obesity through the Healthy Kids Pediatric Weight Management Program. Without you, we could never have achieved so much. You helped train 100 nurses and medical students, bring more than 3,000 babies into the world, treat adult and pediatric cancer, and are helping kids grow into healthy adults. Have you ever felt that you wanted to do more? As you plan your year-end giving, know that there is hope for a sick child, a grandmother with cancer, a family in need and that hope is you. I promise that your gift has the power to change lives. Happy Holidays! E. Gail Pitchford President CAMC Foundation 2 FoundationYearEndCatalog 27069-J14.indd 2
