Xavier College Preparatory 2016 Scholarship Fashion Show Donor Information and Form

January 2016 Dear Friend of Xavier, Since its inception in 1943, Xavier College Preparatory has educated young women of faith who pursue excellence each day. Our mission is to offer an unparalleled college preparatory education that prepares young women with the knowledge, skills and integrity to meet the challenges of a changing global society in a positive and productive manner. The Xavier student body is comprised of young women from a variety of demographic and socioeconomic backgrounds. In fact, forty percent of Xavier s young women qualify for financial assistance. I dream of the day when every qualified student, regardless of her family s financial means will have the opportunity to afford a Xavier education. The only way that this dream can become possible is through the generous support of the scholarship funds available through Xavier. For more than 30 years, Xavier Mothers Guild Scholarship Fashion Show has supported the Xavier Scholarship Fund, with 100% of the proceeds from this event going directly to scholarships for students who qualify based on financial need. The Fashion Show sells out fast, is a community favorite, and has helped make a Xavier education a reality for hundreds of our Gators. It is our hope that you will support the Xavier Scholarship Fashion Show with a donation. There are various benefits available to our donors based on the level of giving. Please consider a sponsorship gift opportunity, underwriting an event expense, and/or attendance at the Fashion Show on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the JW Marriott, Desert Ridge. Details regarding these participation opportunities are enclosed. Please know that all contributions to the Xavier Scholarship Fashion Show directly impact the future of our young women. On behalf of the entire Xavier Scholarship Fashion Show 2016 Committee, I thank you for your consideration of this request and for your generosity. In faith and gratitude, Sister Joan Fitzgerald, BVM 1

Xavier Scholarship Fashion Show Xavier By The Numbers The Xavier Scholarship Fashion Show is an annual event presented by the Xavier Mothers Guild benefiting the Xavier Scholarship Fund. More than 70 Xavier mothers participate as volunteer committee members to raise funds for tuition assistance. Forty percent of Xavier students receive tuition assistance. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the Xavier Scholarship Fashion Show benefit the Xavier Scholarship Fund. In 2015, the Xavier Scholarship Fashion Show raised $252,000. Xavier College Preparatory Founded by the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1943, Xavier College Preparatory has built an outstanding record of academic excellence, innovation, leadership development, athletics and community service. Xavier s mission is to prepare young women with the knowledge, skills and integrity to meet the challenges of a changing global society in a positive and productive manner. Xavier students come from more than 150 elementary and middle schools, traveling from every corner to attend the Valley s only all-girl high school. Xavier was recognized for the third time in school history as a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education in 2013. Xavier s curriculum includes accelerated programs for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math, (STEAM), and Great Books. All students participate in an independent summer reading program. The International Studies Program includes student experiences in France, Germany, Ecuador, and Nicaragua. Xavier students contribute over 32,000 community service hours to more than 100 nonprofit charitable agencies in Metropolitan Phoenix each year. Members of the Class of 2015 were accepted at 275 colleges and universities, garnering well over $22 million in college scholarships. Xavier has graduated approximately 9,000 alumnae who reside domestically and internationally. 2
