Zoo Youth at Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium Other activities they are involved in are: parking lot attendants, sand bagging during floods, and other community activities. Zoo Guides talk with zoo visitors and campers about animals in the exhibit areas, work with summer camp staff, participate in citizen science & conservation projects, and more. Note that Zoo Guides do NOT assist with animal care, but can learn what training & education is needed to do so.
