Our mission is to provide senior Career Planner students with advanced core capabilities necessary to execute Marine Corps enlisted retention policies. During our 18 training days, you can expect to be challenged in a formal school setting. Training includes detailed instruction in coaching and counseling, communication skills, sales and administrative career planner duties. The course also incorporates many new ideas that have evolved from the Recruiting and Retention Training and Readiness (T&R) Manual, Enlisted Retention Task Force and Sergeants Major Symposiums. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to successfully perform the duties of a Career Planner SNCOIC. Our course is located on Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego and within the Marine Corps Recruiters School (Building 27). ACPC classrooms and offices are in the West Wing of the school house on the second deck. We look forward to your arrival. Student Action Checklist Respond to the CPC Course Head verifying receipt of the Welcome aboard Letter to rdsdcareerplannersch@usmc.mil. Forward recertified checklist, Clearance Verification letter and PFT NAVMC to the CPC Course Head at rdsdcareerplannersch@usmc.mil. Replied to the Course Head with PT shirt size and quantity at rdsdcareerplannersch@usmc.mil. Activated Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) or Advance Per Diem. Printed DTS orders, if funded or Detachment Endorsement, if non-funded. Required uniforms prepared. Ht/Wt/BF verified to ensure student is w/in standards. Student has their Medical and Dental records on-hand. Student is not on limited or light duty. Valid Common Access Card (CAC) in possession. TFRS Account has been activated. Student submitted registration for Training TFRS account. Authorized backpack or tote to carry all course materials to and from class. Student has appropriate civilian attire. Notes: Student sufficient luggage space to transport all additional course materials with them upon graduation. GTCC: Marines must have a valid GTCC or advance per diem issued prior to departing their parent command. A GTCC, or advanced per diem, will not be issued here at Recruiters School. It is the responsibility of the parent command to ensure this occurs prior to the Marine s departure. Students are encouraged to reschedule any appointments during Advanced Career Planner Course to avoid missed class time and minimize the effect on the student s grade. Students must bring documentation for any appointments that cannot be taken care of prior to the course or rescheduled for after graduation. While we do understand emergencies arise, we ask students are to make every attempt to avoid missed class time. Students will be returning with a large amount of course material, they should plan accordingly with their luggage. It s recommended they bring a backpack (uniform appropriate) or tote bag to carry all course material to and from class each day. ENCLOSURE (1) 2

WELCOME ABOARD INFORMATION Students on funded orders will report to billeting in appropriate civilian attire the day prior to pick-up day to secure a room. Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton, MCAS Miramar, or MCRD San Diego are not authorized billeting. Students will report to the Career Planner Course, located on the 2nd deck of Bldg 27 Recruiters School, wearing Green on Green PT gear uniform NLT 0800 on pick-up day. On pick-up day (Admin Day 1), students will complete personnel screening. This includes, but is not limited to, height / weight / body fat and urinalysis. Students Must Check in with: Commanding Officer s Screening Checklist (recertified within 30 days will be emailed to the Career Planners course prior to reporting). Funded - DTS Orders from your parent command (funded orders stamped by Bldg 31 OOD). Non-Funded - Detaching Endorsement from parent command. Valid ID (CAC) card with working pin. Access to Report Net via Marine on-line (MOL) A Total Force Retention System (TFRS) account. A Training Total Force Retention System (TFRS) account. They will select GySgt McKee, Billy J or MSgt Lodge, Bryant P as the approver. Link: https://tfrstraining.mceits.usmc.mil. Fitness Reports: Fitness reports ARE NOT required due to period of TAD status being less than 30 days, per MCO P1610.7F. Appropriate civilian attire is required: This is defined as follows; for men, shirt w/ collar, belt, trousers, and shoes; for women, dress pants/slacks or a proper-length skirt with an appropriate top/blouse. Note: as a student assigned to the Advanced Career Planner Course your appearance will directly reflect upon your fellow Marines in the course and the Director of Recruiters School. 3 ENCLOSURE (2)

WELCOME ABOARD INFORMATION Physical Training: We PT weekly here at Advanced Career Planner School. On PT days, Recruiters School students wear green PT shorts & the SNCOIC T-shirt (Short Sleeve sample below). The shirts are Gray and say SNCOIC Career Planner on them. It is recommended that students purchase at least two T-shirts ($10.00 each). The sizes are SM, MED, LG, XL, XXL. Sizes run about the same as your normal shirts. It takes approximately 2 weeks for the shirts to come in, so if you could respond as soon as possible with your SIZE and QUANTITY requested it would be greatly appreciated. Supplies: All materials will be provided upon arrival to ACPC: Calculators (1) Pen (1) Pencil (1) Yellow Highlighter All required student outlines Students are encouraged to students bring a laptop for use while in their billeting areas and a variety of highlighter colors for their use. Graduation: the uniform for graduation will be in the either Dress Blue D / C uniform depending on the seasonal change of uniform. Refer to enclosure (3) for details. For uniformity, female Marines will wear slacks and oxfords for graduation. Time: 1000 (subject to change, do not plan for return flights any earlier than 1300). 4 ENCLOSURE (2)

REQUIRED UNIFORMS AND UOD INFORMATION The following are the minimum required uniform items students must bring to ACPC. Minimum Required Uniforms: Two (2) Short Sleeve Khaki Shirts ** Two (2) Long Sleeve Khaki Shirt ** One (1) tie with tie clasp One (1) Neck Tab, Green/Black)** One (1) Garrison Cover Two (2) Green MARPAT Combat Camouflage Uniforms Two (2) Dress Trousers (Dress Blue) One (1) Service Trousers Service Cover, Frame, White and Service Crown Combat Boots Dress and boot socks Dress Shoes, Oxford Two (2) sets - PT Gear, green shorts & green t-shirts (no logos additional sets recommended) Marine Corps running suit Running shoes PT socks (White) One (1) Tanker Jacket (optional) One (1) Name Tag (All students will have a name tag by the second week. Name tags can be purchased on MCRD SD for $10.00) Uniform of the Day for Recruiters School (unless otherwise stated): March-November: Monday Wednesday: Woodland MARPAT MCCUU with sleeves up from. Thursday and Friday: Service C November March: Monday Wednesday: Woodland MARPAT MCCUU with sleeves down from. MESSING AND BILLETING INSTRUCTIONS Government lodging is available and directed for Marines on funded orders. Students reporting to the Career Planner Course on funded orders are required to maintain a room and will draw partial per diem. Cost for room for those on funded orders is $22.00 per day. Students from Camp Pendleton, MCAS Miramar, or MCRD San Diego will not be assigned a room, nor receive per diem. If local students desire to obtain a room, they must check with billeting and either submit a request to their commands for funding or will pay out of pocket. Billeting for students is located next to the Mess Hall. This is approximately a 5-10 minute walk from Recruiters School. Civilian attire is appropriate for check-in with billeting. The BEQ is located in building 625 on MCRD. It is suggested Marines check in on the day prior to the Convene Date (per MCTIMS). Reservations will be made for each student who is reporting on funded orders prior to the Reporting Date. Any student who arrives prior to the Reporting Date needs to contact the MCRD Transient Billeting at (619) 524-4401. The DSN prefix is 524. Cost for room for those on funded orders is $22.00 per day. Government messing is available and directed for Marines on funded orders. Mess Hall meal prices are as follows: Breakfast: $3.45 Lunch: $5.55 Dinner: $4.85 Weekend: Breakfast Brunch: $6.25 Dinner Brunch: $7.45 Holiday: All Meals $9.05 6 ENCLOSURE (4)

Directions and MCCS Information You should be flying into San Diego, Lindbergh Field Airport, and you will be required to take public transportation (i.e. taxi, shuttle) to billeting/the school.
