Your Charity Profile is the best way to show your fundraising community all the ways they can support you! To access your Charity Profile, simply follow these three steps! Step 1 - Visit www.everydayhero.com.au or www.everydayhero.co.nz Step 2 - Type your charity name into the search bar, located in the centre of the website and click the grey search icon Step 3 - Click charities on the left-hand side of the drop down and select your organisation You will then be directed to your Charity Profile where you can view your charity description, start fundraising and give now buttons, as well as a list of all open Major Community Events your organisation is eligible to participate in. 6 charity.everydayhero.com.au nonprofits@everydayhero.com.au

Fundraising It s time to start fundraising! There are two main ways to enage your supporters in online fundraising through Everydayhero. These are through DIY/Community Fundraising and Major Community Events. Below, we will give you a few tips on how to make the most out of each opportunity. Top Tip: If you would like to create an online appeal or a fully branded peer-to-peer campaign, please refer to page 15 to learn more about our branded campaign solution. 1. DIY/Community Fundraising To maximise the fundraising opportunities now available to you, it s important to ensure your supporters know that your organisation is registered with Everydayhero. Here are our top recommendations for promoting your Everydayhero charity profile: 1. Add it to your website s Get Involved page 2. Include it in your monthly newsletters 3. Post about it on all of your social media networks 4. Email about it to your database 5. Put it on flyers, handouts and posters 6. Mention it at your next work meeting Promoting Peer-to-Peer Fundraising on your website If you have a page on your website that lists all the ways people can support your organisation, we recommend that you list a few ways they can fundraise for your cause through peer-to-peer fundraising, then direct them to your Everydayhero Charity Profile. Some examples include: Joining a major community event such as City2Surf or the Auckland Marathon Hosting their own event such as a dinner party, bake sale, high tea or trivia night Raising funds in memory of a loved one Raising funds in celebration i.e. in lieu of gifts for a birthday or wedding Creating their own fitness challenge These are just a few suggestions, as your supporters are more than welcome to get creative and think outside the box with their fundraising! 10 charity.everydayhero.com.au nonprofits@everydayhero.com.au

Fundraising Thanking Your DIY/Community Fundraisers Don t forget to reach out to your fundraisers to say thanks, not only for the funds they have raised for you, but also for all their effort and time dedicated to your cause. Community fundraisers are some of the most passionate supporters you have and will greatly appreciate being thanked for all their hard work. In turn, these supporters are more likely to become life-long advocates for your organisation. Top Tip: To access the contact details of your fundraisers and opt-in donors refer to the reporting section on page 14. 2. Major Community Events Fundraising Unlike any other online fundraising solution, our event partners give you access to over 300,000 new potential fundraisers in Australia s and New Zealand s leading major community events. All organisations registered with Everydayhero are automatically included in all major community events relevant to their authority to fundraise. If you are a NZ nonprofit you will be included in all New Zealand events. To view all Major Community Events available on our platform visit charity.everydayhero.com.au/community-fundraising-events/ charity.everydayhero.com.au nonprofits@everydayhero.com.au 11
