Skilling & Employment Making a Difference Skilling & Employment trainees have progressed to new careers 2009 Kayla Clinical Support Officer 2010 Rachel Mother 2013 2014 Amber Real Estate Administrator 2008 Emma Travel Consultant 2010 Sandy Administration Assistant 2012 Lori Employment Consultant 2015 Alyssa Current Journey to employment Jason Davis Jason is one of our many success stories at Skilling and Employment, and like a few others, it started a bit rocky. After Jason was made redundant, we helped him refine his resume leading to a steady stream of casual work. We then contacted Jason about an exciting opportunity just a 10-minute bike ride from his front door. He came into the centre and applied, and before he knew it, he was working full-time and still is today. Jonathon Owen From the moment we met Jonathon at the Penrith jobs expo, we could tell he was a keen and enthusiastic young man. He was still in high school at the time he met the Skilling and Employment Trade Employment Advisor who helped him fine-tune his resume. This enabled Jonathon to gain a first year electrical apprenticeship in Penrith. Amanda Mendham Amanda approached the Skilling and Employment team, eager to return to the workforce. We updated Amanda s resume and found a potential Office Administrator role suited to her. Within an hour of submitting her resume she was locked in for an interview. We then worked together to prepare Amanda for which was a successful interview. Jennifer Robba Jennifer first applied online for a role at the popular brand, Bonds. Skilling and Employment knew she was the right person for the job and suggested she approach the Manager at the Bonds Store with her resume. Soon after, Jennifer was contacted for an interview and got the job. She was very excited to get back to work in her hometown. William Po Ching William stumbled upon the Skilling and Employment centre just one week after he d moved to Sydney and was looking for work. We helped him revise his resume and prepare cover letters. Combined with his skills in warehousing, forklifts, and Health & Safety, William used our facilities to search for jobs, applying online for various positions. Within 3 weeks he found full-time employment.
