AMERICAN HERITAGE SCHOLARSHIP by Island Christian Church Award: Two $2,000.00 Scholarships (one to a male and one to a female). Criteria: Be a Firefighter or be related to a Firefighter and live in New York State. Awards will be made to students who will be entering a field of service to the community. NEW WOMAN S CLUB OF RIVERHEAD SCHOLARSHIP Award: Five $1,000 Scholarships in the areas of Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Science and Medicine, Education and the Humanities, and Social Sciences and Business. ASSOCIATION OF FIRE DISTRICTS OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, INC. Gerard G. Buckenmeyer Volunteer Scholarship Award: Twenty $1,500.00 Scholarships. Criteria: Candidates must live in NYS and be an active volunteer firemen or junior firefighter. ALL VOLUNTEER FIREMEN AND JUNIOR FIREFIGHTERS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP. Deadline: Applications are available in Guidance or online at: www.fasny.com and must be received by March 15, 2017. THE SUFFOLK COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP Award: $ 1,000.00 Scholarship. ELECTRONIC SECURITY ASSOCIATION YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM Award: $12,000. in state and national awards. Criteria: 1) Be a child of a full-time active law enforcement or fire department (paid or volunteer). 2) Awards are based on grade average, SAT or ACT scores, essay, academic prizes, awards, hobbies, school and outside extracurricular activities, work history and community service. BP COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM Award: $2,000.00 Scholarships. Criteria: Senior residing in NYC, Long Island or northern NJ who will be entering a 2 or 4-year college or tech school in the fall of 2017 and demonstrates financial need. NEW NORTH FORK WOMEN FOR WOMEN SCHOLARSHIP FUND The 2017 Anne MacKay Memorial Scholarship Award: $1,500.00 Scholarship Criteria: 1) Open to all seniors-male and female. 2) Recommendation from a teacher, principal or guidance counselor 3) Student must also submit a community recommendation and a list of their extra-curricular activities and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. 4) Personal essay of 750 words on diversity Deadline: Applications are available in Guidance. NEW YORK SCHOOLS INSURANCE RECIPROCAL SCHOLARSHIP Christin Ann Bambino Memorial Scholarship Award: Seven $3,000 Scholarships, one $4,000 Scholarship and one $5,000 Scholarship. Criteria: 1) Be a Special Education Student Accepted to a college or university. 2) Write an essay on working through your challenges. Deadline: Applications are available in Guidance. Return completed application to Guidance by March 29, 2017 to be considered. NEW YORK SCHOOLS INSURANCE RECIPROCAL SCHOLARSHIP Paul Jensen Memorial Scholarship Award: $5,000 and $3,000 Scholarship. NEW YORK SCHOOLS INSURANCE RECIPROCAL SCHOLARSHIP Joseph Goncalves Student Humanitarian Scholarship Award: One $5,000.00 Scholarship. Criteria: Be a graduating senior attending college next year. You need to have demonstrated a record of involvement for an organization that serves others. Deadline: Application is available in Guidance. Return completed application to Guidance by March 29, 2017 to be considered. HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND Award: Miscellaneous Scholarships. Criteria: 1) You must be a high school senior of Hispanic/Latino Heritage. 2) Be a US citizen, legal permanent resident or an eligible non-citizen. 3) You must plan to enroll as a full-time at a 2-year or 4-year college. FRIENDS OF MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP Award: Four or Five $500.00 Scholarships. Criteria: 1) Awarded to band and/or vocal students based upon their accomplishments in music and contributions to the Mattituck High School Program. 2) Parents must be active members. Deadline: Applications are available in Guidance and must be returned to Guidance by March 31, 2017. FRIENDS OF THE MATTITUCK-LAUREL LIBRARY Award: Undesignated. Criteria: Be a resident of Mattituck or Laurel and demonstrate involvement with library services and activities. Write an essay. NEW YORK STATE SOCIETY OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS SCHOLARSHIP (SUFFOLK COUNTY CHAPTER) Award: $500.00 Awards. Criteria: 1) Attending a NYS college or university full-time majoring in accounting. 2) B Average student with an SAT composite score of at least 1600, or ACT of 23. 3) Proof of acceptance to a college or university for the 2017-2018 school year. NEW GREAT CLIPS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM (In Memory of Alice Madden Barton) Award: Over $100,000.00 in Cosmetology Scholarships. Criteria: Scholarships are available to students who are pursuing a cosmetology career and current cosmetology school students. Deadline: Apply on line at greatclipscareers.com/scholarships by March 31, 2017. NEW AIA AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS LONG ISLAND CHAPTER Award: $3,000.00, $2,000.00 and $1,500.00 Scholarships. Criteria: Student should exhibit exemplary effort in architecture or design and will be attending an accredited school of architecture in the fall. Student must maintain a high academic standard. Deadline: Information is available in Guidance and submissions must be received by 5 PM on Friday, March 31, 2017. NEW H2M ARCHITECTS AND ENGINEERS 2017 STEM SCHOLARSHIP Award: Six $1,000.00 Scholarships. Criteria: Graduating seniors interested in pursuing an education in a STEM program such As Architecture, Engineering, Planning, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture or Environmental Science. Deadline: Applications are available in Guidance and must be received by H2M by March 31, 2017.

DUE IN APRIL NEW NEW YORK ASSOCIATION FOR PUPIL TRANSPORTATION-Suffolk County Chapter 1) NYAPT 2017 GEORGE FORCE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Award: Two $500 Scholarships Criteria: Available to seniors who have a parent or guardian working directly in the pupil transportation field in Suffolk County. Employer must be an active NYAPT Suffolk County member. Deadline: Application and requested documentations must be postmarked on or before April 1, 2017. 2) NYAPT 2017 KEVIN J. GILDEA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Award: $1,000 Scholarship. Criteria: 1) Available to a qualified senior who has a parent or guardian working directly in the pupil transportation field in Suffolk County. Employer must be an active NYAPT Suffolk County Member. 2) Student must have a current GPA above 3.5 with Guidance certification. Deadline: Application and requested documentation must be postmarked on or before April 1, 2017. NEW PRESS CLUB OF LONG ISLAND JOURNALISIM SCHOLARSHIP Award: $ 1,000.00 Scholarship. Criteria: Awarded to student recognized for outstanding journalism. A second $1,000.00 scholarship will be awarded to a student who has a Learning Disability. You must be nominated for this scholarship by an advisor, editor, station manager or professor. Deadline: Information is available in Guidance and must be submitted to the organization by April 1, 2017. NEW PRESS CLUB OF LONG ISLAND HANK LOGEMAN/NEWS 12 LI JOURNALISM AWARD Award: $2,000.00 Scholarship Criteria: Scholarship will be awarded to the high school journalist/broadcaster, newspaper or radio station that does the most to promote journalism on Long Island. Entries must include a nomination letter. Deadline: Information is available in Guidance and must be submitted to the organization by April 1, 2017. NEW ITALIAN GENEALOGICAL GROUP Award: $2,000 Scholarship Criteria: 1) You must attach a note on letterhead that your school does not teach Italian 2 Type an essay 500-750 words showing evidence of Italian family history research 3) Attach family tree and recommendation. JACK AND JILL OF AMERICAN FOUNDATION (The Kathleen Taylor Memorial Community Service Scholarship) Award: $500.00 to $1,500.00 scholarships to each recipient. Criteria: Open to African American high school seniors with a GPA of 3.0 who have been accepted and plan to attend a four-year college. HELPING HANDS FOUNDATION THE TONY GENTILE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Award: Five $1,000.00 Scholarships. Criteria: Be a senior entering college in the fall and have extensive volunteer service to your community. LI 2-DAY BREAST CANCER WALK SCHOLARSHIP Award: Three $2,000. 00 Scholarships. Criteria: 1) Must reside with a relative who is a survivor or victim of breast cancer. 2) Must plan on attending a 2-yr. or 4-yr. college, university or trade school. Deadline: Applications are available in Guidance and must be received by April 1, 2017. THE MARIA A SCIARA SCHOLARSHIP FUND Award: One $2,000 Scholarship. Criteria: 1) Aspires to be a teacher. 2) Resides with a parent or guardian who was a victim of cancer (other than breast cancer) 3) Enrolled in high school full-time, be a graduating senior and have applied and received acceptance to a two or four-year college or university. Deadline: Applications are available in Guidance and must be postmarked by April 1, 2017. NEW MATTITUCK-CUTCHOGUE ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB SCHOLARSHIP Award: Six $500.00 Scholarships (3 males and 3 females) Criteria: Athletic participation, awards, extra-curricular, work experience and community activities Deadline: Application form is available in Guidance and MUST BE TURNED IN TO GUIDANCE BY APRIL 1, 2016 NEW NORTH FORK COMMUNITY THEATRE Award: $500.00 Scholarship Criteria: Write an essay, include performance and participation resume and letter of recommendation. Deadline: Applications are available in Guidance and must be returned to Guidance by April 3, 2017 to be considered. NEW MATTITUCK-LAUREL CIVIC ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP Award: $1,000.00 Scholarship Criteria: Applicant must be a resident of Mattituck or Laurel, a graduating senior and must be accepted into a post-secondary school or technical school. Deadline: Application is available in Guidance and must be returned to Guidance by April 5, 2017.

NEW NORTH FORK DESIGNER SHOW HOUSE 2017 SCHOLARSHIP Award: One $2,000.00 Scholarship for each school district (Greenport, Mattituck, Southold and Riverhead.) Criteria: Available to students who have donated their time to community service. An Essay is required. Deadline: Application is available in Guidance and must be returned to Guidance by April 3rd so that the organization can receive them by April 7, 2017. Late entries will not be accepted. FARM CREDIT EAST SCHOLARSHIP Award: Up to 31 $1,500.00 Scholarships. Criteria: Student has committed to a career in agriculture, forestry or commercial fishing. Decisions will be based on essay, experience, course of study and extra-curricular activities. Deadline: Apply online at www.farmcrediteast.com by April 5, 2017. NEW SPIRIT S PROMISE EQUINE RESCUE SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION Award: Scholarship of Undesignated amount. Criteria: Scholarship will be based on community involvement, service, good work ethic, participation in volunteer work with animals or volunteers at Spirit s Equine Rescue. Deadline: Application is available in Guidance and must be returned to Guidance by April 5, 2017. NEW BRIDGEHAMPTON NATIONAL BANK BUSINESS SCHOLARS 2017 SCHOLARSHIP Award: Ten $1,000.00 Scholarships. Criteria: Student must be a high school senior in one of the East End schools and planning to attend a 2 or 4-year college on Long Island to study Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting. This award is not need based. Deadline: This scholarship application must be received at the bank by April 7, 2017. NORTH FORK ITALIAN AMERICAN CLUB SCHOLARSHIP Award: Several Scholarships of Undetermined Amounts. Criteria: 1) Be of Italian-American Heritage on any level 2) Essay discussing your Italian Heritage, academic record to be included. Scholarships are available to all students entering college, tech or vocational schools. Deadline: Applications are available in Guidance and must be returned to Guidance Wednesday, April 5, 2017. LONGHOUSE RESERVE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD Award: Three $3,000.00 Awards. Criteria: Art students are eligible if they have submitted to the Student Annual at least once during their high school years (9 th to 11 th grade) or have participated in an internship at Long House Reserve. (Ask Ms. Rose if you qualify). Deadline: Information is available in Guidance and applications are available online at www.longhouse.org and must be received by April 7, 2017.

AMERICAN FIRE SPRINKLER ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP Award: 10 $2,000. Scholarships. Criteria: 1) Be a high school senior, US citizen and legal resident. 2) Read an essay and answer 10 multiple-choice questions. Deadline: Apply online at www.afsascholarship.org by April 7, 2017. GREATER LONG ISLAND RUNNING CLUB 2017 IN MEMORY OF HERB GRAYSON SCHOLARSHIP Award: $2,000.00 to one or more seniors. Criteria: Seniors are chosen on the basis of involvement in and service to the Long Island running community. This is a service-oriented scholarship. Deadline: Applications are available in Guidance and must be postmarked on or before April 8, 2017.
