KINESIOLOGY 49 er SCHOLARSHIP [Formerly the Gold Scholarship] Graduating Undergraduate Scholarship CRITERIA In order to qualify for the KINESIOLOGY 49 er scholarship, an applicant must: Be a major in the Department of Kinesiology Be a full-time student (12+ units per semester) Graduate at the end of the Spring semester or have graduated the prior Fall semester Have completed a minimum of 48 semester units at CSULB at the time of application Be continually enrolled at CSULB for the past 4 academic semesters Have a minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA and 3.5 GPA in the KIN major Show verification of enrollment in a post-graduate education program of study Criteria for selection includes: Scholastic proficiency Leadership ability in at least two of the following areas related to professional activities: University, community, and professional activities. Applicants must submit an application form, two letters of recommendation (from individuals who can attest to your scholastic performance, community service and professional activities), a resume (see format guidelines), and a copy of your transcripts. At least one person recommending you for this scholarship must be a faculty member in the CSULB KIN Department. Unofficial transcripts (i.e. mycsulb printed versions of transcripts and copies of recent transcripts) are acceptable. Completed application packets (Application Form, Resume, Letter/s of Recommendation, and Scholarship Verification Form) are due by April 1 [or the first Monday after April 1 if April 1 falls during Spring Break]. Submit the application materials to the KIN Department Office to the attention of the Scholarship and Awards Committee.
