Investing in Your Success! Introduction As part of the Comprehensive Cooperation and Benefits Agreement (CBA), Victoria Gold Corporation and First Nations Na-cho Nyak Dun have established a scholarship program to support Na-cho Nyak Dun Citizens attending university, college, trades / technical courses on a full time basis. Funds may be used for tuition, school supplies / equipment, rent, food, day care and transportation. Educational Focus Primary consideration will be given to students entering the field of business, mining, engineering, geology, science, environment, community development, health and safety and other support roles related to mining. Other areas of study may be given secondary consideration. Selection A committee comprised of two Victoria Gold representatives and the FNNND Education Manager will review and select successful applicants based on the merits of the application and the intent of the funds. Incomplete applications will not be considered and must be submitted by the advertised deadline.
Application Requirements Submit the Victoria Gold FNNND CBA Scholarship Application Form along with the required documentation (see Application Form for a list of documentation). Applicants not currently enrolled may be granted conditional approval requiring the proof of enrolment before funds are released. Applicants may re-apply the following year if their application is unsuccessful or not chosen by the selection committee for that year. 2012 Application Deadlines and Award Dates Course Start Application Deadline Scholarship Award Fall 2012 August 6, 2012 August 20, 2012 Winter 2013 December 1, 2012 January 1, 2013 Scholarship Amounts Scholarships range from $1,000 to a maximum of $5,000 for successful applicants. The amount of the scholarship is based on tuition costs, program length, anticipated living costs of the scholarship recipient, and the number of Victoria Gold Corp / FNNND CBA Scholarships awarded in any year. Disbursements 2012 scholarship recipients will receive payment directly from the First Nation Na-cho Nyak Dun. Where possible, the FNNND will make direct payments to the school or store (in the case of equipment purchases) on behalf of the recipient. Applicants who receive more than $2,500 will receive the amount in two separate payments the first at the beginning of the program and the second at the start of the second semester or mid-point of the program. Conditions 1. Applicants must be Na-cho Nyak Dun Citizens. 2. Recipients must begin studies within six months of being awarded a scholarship. 3. In the event that a recipient withdraws from full studies, they must immediately return any unused portion of the scholarship. Students in this situation may re-apply, although the scholarship amount already used will be taken into account. 4. Applicants on academic probation will not be eligible for scholarship funds until they have been removed from academic probation. 5. Recipients will not be penalized for changing their study area provided it remains within the eligible criteria. You must report other changes outside the eligible areas to the FNNND Education Manager at the earliest opportunity. 6. Recipients may be asked to participate in publicity and promotional events sponsored by Victoria Gold. 7. If the scholarship award is made in two payments, recipients must provide proof of enrolment for the second semester or midway point to receive the second disbursement.

If you are applying for a conditional approval (not yet enrolled in the program / course), you do not have to submit your letter of acceptance at this time. If approved, you must submit your enrolment letter before payment is distributed. Copy of Tuition Books & Supplies List How Will You be Notified? You will be sent a reply either by email, fax or mail from the FNNND education department that your application has been received and is being reviewed. You will receive written notification of application approval or rejection from the FNNND education department after the Review Committee has made its decision.
