Homecoming tickets will be on sale during all lunch mods in the lobby through Thursday October 11. If you are planning to bring a guest from another school, please remember to come by the office to pick up your orange guest pass. Please leave yourself enough time to get the pass signed by your guest s administrator and presented when you purchase tickets. Guest passes will NOT be faxed to other schools. Seniors interested in painting the class window for Homecoming may join Dr. Edmonson after school on Thursday, October 4 in the Lobby. SGA is looking for members of each class to participate in games during the homecoming pep rally. There are sign-up sheets located on the class bulletin boards on the 2nd floor A-wing. Current athletes are not allowed to participate. Sign-ups will be first come first serve. See a class advisor or Mrs. Carter with questions.

From the Counseling Office Need Money for College? The School Counseling Office presents our annual Financial Aid Night for Parents and Students. The presentation will be held on Tuesday, October 16th from 6 to 7:30pm in the WHS auditorium. Learn about the FAFSA and all the ways to receive Financial Aid..in one night. This scholarship is based on community service, work, academics, and financial need. Deadline for applications November 15, 2018. Please stop the counseling office for more details. Attention students interested in taking the PSAT on Wed. Oct. 10th. Today is the last day to buy your ticket. The cost of the PSAT ticket is $18.00. You may pay with check made out to WHS or cash. The Kamryn Lambert Foundation is pleased to announce that they will once again be able to award scholarships in Kamryn's name to members of the State of Maryland High School Graduating Class on 2019. Application are available in the Counseling Office or on line for any students who plan to pursue a degree in nursing or other related medical field. The deadline to apply is April 15, 2019 and the application packet must include the completed application, essay and official transcripts. There will be an informational meeting Wednesday October 3rd during flex in the third floor cafeteria for all students interested in participating in indoor track this year. Advisors, please allow all interested students to attend this meeting. The JV Volleyball Team defeated South Carroll 2-0 last night behind the confident serving of Kylie McWilliams and Cici Mason, Ella Keck s strong presence at the net, and Ellie Yaider s relentless defense. The Lady Owls host Manchester Valley on Thursday at 5pm! Owl Pride! The Varsity Volleyball Team swept South Carroll 3-0 last night behind a full team effort including 27 aces, 28 kills, and a 2.38 serve receive rating.
