Our goal with this training is to bring Texas Law Enforcement lessons learned and current information on Terrorism related cases. This conference is designed to create relationships between all types of Law Enforcement agencies, and where appropriate, we want to include our partners from the private sector and other community leaders. We plan to have this Conference during the same time period, around September 11 th, every year with the Conference being held at the Capitol. Hotel accommodations are at your discretion. However, the Double Tree Suites by Hilton Austin Hotel located at 303 West 15 th Street, Austin, Texas 78701, is holding a courtesy block of rooms for our attendees. The Hotel is located 2 blocks from the Capitol and is offering a room rate of $222.00 per night, plus a $20 valet fee per vehicle per day. This courtesy block expires on August 20, 2018. Reservations may be made by calling (512) 478-7000 or (800) 222-8733, using group code TCT or by making your reservation online at Texas Counter-Terrorism Texas Police Association. We have included the tentative schedule of presentations for your information. The first day is an Unclassified Session and we have invited community partners from all over to join us. You will be emailed a final schedule once all of the training has been finalized. TCOLE credit will be given law enforcement personnel upon completion of the training programs. The registration fee for this conference is $90.00 per person. Included in this email is a map of the Capitol grounds with the entrance we will be using to get through security, receive your Conference credentials, and directions that will get you into the presentation room. This map includes the location of Parking Garage E that we will be using for the Conference, the location of the Auditorium, and restaurants close to the Capitol. You will need to access the Capitol through the North Entrance where we will have representatives directing you to the Auditorium. The Conference will be held in the Capitol Extension Auditorium, E1.004. Both locations are marked on the attached map. All participants need to park on the top level of Garage E. This level of the garage is complimentary parking for this event and if you park on any other level, you will be ticketed. The Capitol restaurant is directly across the rotunda from our training room and they have a wide variety of food if you don t want to travel off campus for meals.
