2 A A G 15 J W A ADDIE GRACE AKINS Addie Akins is the daughter of Amy Jo and Glen Akins and is graduating with honors from Northridge High School. Addie is a member of Civinettes, serves as a Young Life Committee Member and a National Honor Society member. She has earned her USEF Athlete Letter all four years and will be pursuing her Equestrian career in college while getting a degree in Education. She will attend Randolph-Macon College. JOSHUA AUSTIN WRIGHT Austin Wright is the son of Jennifer and Mark Wright. Austin ran cross country for four years, ran track for three years and has been the varsity basketball manager since his Freshman year at Hilcrest High School. He is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, Interact, and the Foreign Language club. He plans to attend Shelton State in the fall to pursue a career in education. H B A HOPE AURORA BENJAMIN Hope Benjamin is the daughter of Lt. Col. Warren Ben and Donna Benjamin. While at Northridge, Hope made the A/B Honor Roll multiple times and enjoyed being a football manager, a Jag Pal, and a friend to everyone she met. Hope also led the Samford football team at a pre-game Bulldog Walk and was the Runnercorn mascot for several Tuscaloosa Color Runs. She was involved with YoungLife and PARA recreational sports. During summer breaks, when she wasn t at Camp Skyline, Camp ASCCA, Crooked Creek, or Arts n Autism, she volunteered at RISE Preschool and helped with ReadBAMARead special events. Hope was recently awarded Sepcial Ed Student of the Year for Tuscaloosa City Secondary Schools. Hope has been selected to participate in the Alabama Governor s Youth Leadership Forum for Students with Disabilities this summer and is excited to attend Crossing Points at the University of Alabama this Fall.

14 3 L W K C B M LAUREN KELLY WILLIAMS Lauren Williams is the daughter of Tina and Michael Williams. At Northridge, Lauren was a member of the Student Government Association, serving as Treasurer her senior year. She was also a member of the National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Art Honor Society and Beta Club. Lauren was a cheerleader for four years. She was a member of Tuscaloosa Belles and Civinettes. Lauren plans to attend the University of Alabama in the fall. CAROLINE MARIE BONHAUS Caroline Bonhaus is the daughter of Beth and Tom Bonhaus and is the captain of TA s volleyball and track teams, and has served as Vice President of the Student Government Association, President of the Spanish Club, and Vice President of her Junior Class. She is a member of Tuscaloosa Civinettes and recently served as President of Tuscaloosa Academy s Key Club. Caroline also implemented a partnership with Big Brothers and Sisters of West Alabama and her high school to provide high school mentors for children at our local elementary schools. She plans to attend the University of Alabama in the fall and study Finance and Spanish. M W K K C E MARY KATHERINE WINFIELD Mary Katherine Winfield is the daughter of Kathy and Zane Winfield and will graduate from Northridge High School in May. She is a Tuscaloosa Belle and a member of the Civinettes organization. She serves as the Northridge senior class secretary and is a member of the NHS Beta Club, NHS Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, and an NHS Jag Pal. Mary Katherine is a WyldLife leader, is involved in YoungLife, and has served as a Discovery leader at First Church. During her four years at Northridge, Mary Katherine has been a varsity softball player, varsity cheerleader, and varsity volleyball player. Mary Katherine plans to attend the University of Alabama in the fall. KAYLA ELLEN CALDWELL Kayla Caldwell is the daughter of Kim and Andrew Caldwell. She is graduating from Tuscaloosa County High School this May. While at TCHS, Kayla was a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Beta Club and the service organizations VISTA and Sigma Alpha Theta. She was also a four year member of the varsity tennis team. Kayla enjoyed being a group leader during the FUMCT Discovery weekends and participating in her youth small group. In the fall she will attend Auburn University.

4 LCE 13 A W C LINDA ELIZABETH CHESHIRE Lindy Cheshire is the daughter of Michelle and Randy Cheshire. At Northridge, Lindy has been a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club and Jag Pals. She has been a four year member of the Northridge High School Softball team where she has received multiple awards. She has been actively involved in civic organizations including Civinettes, Tuscaloosa Belles and has served as a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Clinic. She will attend Auburn University in the fall where she plans to pursue a degree in nursing. ANREW COX WADE, III Andrew Wade is the son of Ashley and Drew Wade. Andrew is graduating from Tuscaloosa Academy. While at Tuscaloosa Academy, Andrew has been on the cross country and tennis teams. He is a member of Key Club, Quill and Scroll, National Honor Society and the Computer Science Honors Society. His hobbies include writing, running and hiking. He will attend Berry College in the fall. D C J J W R DALTON JOSHUA CLARY Dalton Clary is the son of Dede and Dustin Clary and will graduate from Northridge High School where he is a member of the National Honor Society, the National Honors Science Club, the All American Academic Club, and President of Mu Alpha Theta. Dalton has been admitted to the Honors College at the University of Alabama where he was awarded a Presidential Scholarship. Dalton plans to enter the STEM program and major in Engineering and pursue a Masters in Business Administration. JACKSON RILEY WILKIN Jackson Wilkin is the son of Trina and Rod Wilkin. At Northridge, Jackson was a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Art Honor Society and Beta Club. Jackson served as class president his sophomore year and class treasurer his junior year. He was the team captain for the varsity basketball team and also played football. Jackson has been very involved in YoungLife, along with the Special Olympics and Jag Pals. Jackson will attend the University of Alabama in the fall.

12 5 K T E S F C KELLEN ELIZABETH TUCKER Kellen Tucker is the daughter of Kimberly Williams Tucker and is graduating from Northridge High School with honors. She has volunteered with FUMCT Bible School and Discovery each year. She played the violin in the Strings in Schools program from sixth grade through her junior year. Kellen has been an active board member of Tuscaloosa Belles, serving as historian. She currently is President of the National Art Society, and a member of the National and Spanish honor societies. Kellen is a member is Key Club, Beta Club and Civinettes. Kellen has accepted several scholarships to the University of Alabama where she will begin her college career in the Culverhouse College of Business, concentrating in accounting and plans to pursue her law degree. STEVAN CRAIG FAIRBURN, JR. Stevan Fairburn, Jr. is the son of Kristy and Craig Fairburn and the grandson of Kathy and Jeff Long and Donna Golden. Stevan will graduate from Northridge High School where he was a member of the All Academic Team, Mu Alpha Theta, Northridge Ambassadors, and Vice President of the National Honor Society. He was a member of the basketball, baseball and football teams where he was named team captain. At FUMCT, he was a member of the youth praise band, Discovery leader, and attended a medical mission trip to Honduras. After graduation, Stevan will attend the United States Air Force Academy where he will study aerospace engineering and continue his baseball career. M T R R F E MARY RUTH TUCKER Mary Ruth Tucker is the daughter of Mary Lou and Brian Tucker. At Northridge High School, Mary Ruth is a varsity cheerleader, a member of National Honor Society, Beta Club, National Science Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society. She is also a member of Civinettes and Tuscaloosa Belles. Mary Ruth will be attending the University of Alabama in the fall. RACHEL ELIZABETH FARABEE Rachel Farabee is the daughter of Susan and Mark Farabee. She has been selected as a Top Senior at Hillcrest High School, where she has been actively involved in choir, SGA, Interact Club, and the National Beta Club. Rachel has been offered a Fine Arts Scholarship and a Tour Guide Scholarship to Shelton State, where she plans to attend in the fall.

6 G F W 11 M S C GABRIELLA WESLEY FERNANDEZ Gabbi Fernandez is the daughter of Amy and Drew Fernandez. She will graduate from Northridge High School where she is a member of Beta Club, Key Club, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Art Honor Society, and Spanish Honor Society. Gabbi has been on the Northridge tennis team for four years. She is a Tuscaloosa Belle and member of Civinettes. Gabbi has served on the FUMCT administrative board and is active in FUMC student ministries. She is a 6th grade Bible study small group leader and a Wyldlife Leader. Gabbi will attend Auburn University in the fall to pursue a degree in Communication Disorders. MATTHEW COLE STEWART Cole Stewart is the son of Janice and Grier Stewart and has enjoyed small group meetings, mission trips, VBS, and basketball games at FUMCT. He played soccer at Northridge High School for four years and was Varsity Captain his senior year. Cole is a member of the All Academic Team and National Honor Society, as well as the Math, French, and Science Honor Societies. He is a 2018 Superintendent Scholar and will attend the University of Alabama as part of the Blount Scholars Program and Honors College. Cole received a Presidential Scholarship and plans to study physics. E G K S S P EMMA KATHERINE GILLESPIE Emma Gillespie is the daughter of Ashlee and Jimmy Gillespie of Northport. She will be graduating from Hillcrest High School in May. Emma is a member of the Honor Society, National Beta Club, Student Government Association, and Key Club. She serves as the reporter for the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) organization. Emma is an active member of the youth group at FUMCT and served on the Phenix City mission trip team. She also served as a Discovery Leader for the last two years. In the fall, Emma will be attending Auburn University to pursue a degree in Pre-Pharmacy. STEPHEN PARKER STROUD Parker Stroud is the son of Shea and Stephen Stroud and has played on the Northridge tennis team throughout his high school career. His hobbies include spending time with friends and participating in the youth ministry at First United Methodist Church. His plans are to attend the University of Alabama and major in business.

10 7 J M B V G E JACKSON BEALLE MERCURIO Jackson Mercurio is the son of Noëlle and Jeff Mercurio. He is a wonderful big brother to Anderson (age 14) and Merritt (age 10). At Tuscaloosa Academy, Jackson was a member of the National Honor Society, the Varsity Track Team, a one year starter on the Varsity Soccer Team, and a six year starter on the Varsity Tennis Team. As a USTA boys tennis player, Jackson was nationally ranked in the top 450, Southern Region (nine states) in the top 80, and in the state of Alabama, he was ranked number one. Jackson has been an active member of FUMCT and will attend Auburn University in the fall on a partial academic scholarship. L R E LUCY ELIZABETH ROGERS Lucy Rogers is the daughter of Laurie and Darryl Rogers. At Northridge, Lucy was a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and Quill and Scroll. She is the NHS Yearbook Editor and Vice President of Art Honor Society. Lucy is a member of Key Club and Civinettes as well as the Academy of Ballet and Jazz s Dance Company. In the fall, she will attend Auburn University on academic and fine arts scholarships. VIRGINIA ELLEN GOLDSMITH Lele Goldsmith is the daughter of Melissa and Scott Goldsmith and will graduate from Tuscaloosa Academy where she has received honors from the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society, and Quill and Scroll Honor Society. Lele has been Captain of the Women s Varsity Soccer Team for the past four years. She is a graduate of the Forerunners Leadership Program, a member of Civinettes, and an active member in the Tuscaloosa Academy SGA. In the Fall, Lele will attend the University of Mississippi to pursue a degree in accounting. M H R MAYCI RUTH HARTLEY Mayci Ruth Hartley is the daughter of Christy and Tim Fank and will graduate from Northridge High School with honors. She is a member of the Quill and Scroll Honor Society and editor and photographer for the Northridge Reporter. Mayci is the President of Tuscaloosa Belles, donations coordinator of Civinettes and has been very involved in Young Life and attended many of their camps. She has been a Discovery leader, a small group leader to 6th and 8th grade girls, and a VBS leader. Mayci has been very involved with the Elementary program and the elementary Music program at First United Methodist Church. She has received several scholarships, including a scholarship from First United Methodist Church. Mayci will be attending Birmingham Southern College in the fall.

8 9 J H O CJE JACKSON OLIVER HORTON Jack Horton is the son of Leigh and Chass Horton and attends Tuscaloosa Academy. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, SGA and was chosen to represent TA at Alabama Boys State where he was elected Associate Supreme Court Justice. Jack is a four year starter for the Varsity Soccer team, serving as Team Captain and winning the 2016 AISA State Championship. Jack will be attending the University of Alabama Honors College and was awarded the UA Capstone Scholarship. CAROL ELIZABETH JOHNSON Carol Johnson is the daughter of Alisa and Richard Johnson. At Northridge, Carol was a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Captain of the varsity soccer team, and Captain of the varsity volleyball team. She was voted Homecoming Queen, Best All Around, and state secretary for Key Club. After graduation, Carol plans to play soccer at Birmingham Southern College. J J C C K A JEMISON CHRISTOPHER JONES J.C. Jones is the son of Virginia and Chris Jones. He will graduate from Northridge High School with a grade point average of 3.9. J.C. was a member of the Northridge High Tennis Team for four years. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America, Black Warrior Council, Troop 90, and he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He was an active participant in FUMCT youth and its ministries. He served as a Discovery high school leader for several years, and he participated in a mission trip to One 7. He will attend the University of Alabama in the fall of 2018, and he has been admitted to the Honors College on a Presidential Scholarship. J.C. will pursue a degree from the University of Alabama Culverhouse College of Business. CAROLINE AVERY KIRKLAND Caroline Kirkland is the daughter of Cindy and Eric Kirkland and is a member of the National Honor Society, National Beta Club, Quill and Scroll International Honorary Society, and Spanish National Honors Society. She served two years as a Discovery Group Leader with First Church. Caroline is a member of Civinettes and a Tuscaloosa Belle. She served on the Northridge High School Yearbook Staff all four years of high school. Caroline earned two equestrian athlete letters from the US Equestrian Federation and was a member of the Tuscaloosa Interscholastic Equestrian Association team. Caroline will attend the University of Alabama in the fall.
