Cashiering Team You must be 15 years old by June 1 st to apply. This position allows you to SMILE and interact with our guests while assisting in the admission and retail process. This position requires communication and basic math skills. Cashier must attend one-day training and a day of orientation prior to employment. If you consider yourself a friendly person and are comfortable with simple math, this is the family for you. Cashiers earn $7.50/hour + rewards + commission Custodial Team You must be 15 years old by June 1 st to apply. Teams members help provide a clean atmosphere for our guests. This team is also responsible for cabin/cottage cleaning. Each team member must attend a day of training and an orientation prior to employment. If you love to clean and be active, this is the family for you. Custodians earn $7.50/hour + rewards (Starting wage can increase with previous experience.) Food Service Team You must be 16 years old by June 1 st to apply. You will become a part of a fast paced and energetic food preparation team. You will be trained to prepare all our delicious food items while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. If you love to cook and stay busy, this is family for you. This position requires EXTREME optimism and enthusiasm. Members of the team assist in all areas of the park, from greeting guests, answering questions, keeping the park clean, and servicing cabana guests. Guest service team will take part in a one-day training and a one-day orientation. If you love to interact with people and willing to work hard, this is the job for you. Guest Service earn $7.50/hour + rewards Campground Team You must be 16 years old by June 1 st to apply. Members of this team assist in all areas of the campgrounds, from greeting guests at check-in, managing activities, keeping the grounds clean, and servicing cabins and cottages. The Campground team will take part in a one-day training orientation. If you love to interact with people and willing to work hard, this is the job for you. This is an active position that could allow you to be on multiple Splashway Teams. Campground Team earn $7.50/hour + rewards Lifeguard Team You must be 16 years old by June 1 st to apply. The Lifeguard Team s responsibility is to provide safety with a SMILE. All lifeguards must complete a two-day training plus a one-day orientation prior to employment. Trainings are held at Splashway led by an amazing team of trainers. If you love to help people and be in the water, this is the job for you. Lifeguards begin at $8.00/hour + rewards Maintenance Team You must be 16 years old by June 1 st to apply. Team members perform general Waterpark and Campground maintenance with a SMILE. If you love to work hard and get your hands dirty, this is the job for you. Maintenance earn $8.00/hour + rewards Swim Instructor Team (Secondary Team) You must be 16 years old by June 1 st to apply. This position is highly interactive with both kids and parents and will require you to be high energy and outgoing. You must complete or have a NASCO certificate as well as a one-day Swim Instructor training. All trainings are held at Splashway and no prior experience is needed. Swim Instructors may hold other positions at Splashway. Swim Instructors earn $8.00/hour + rewards Zipline Team (Secondary Team) You must be 18 years old by June 1 st to apply. Please list Zipline Team in either option 2 or 3 on page 3 if you are enthusiastic, energetic, responsible, good with people, and unafraid of heights. Extensive training is necessary prior to becoming a member of the Zipline Team. Zipline Team earn $7.50/hour + rewards Photo Team (Secondary Team) You must be 15 years old by June 1 st to apply. This position requires a positive attitude and ability to engage with Splashway guests. This is an active and exciting position that will allow you to be on multiple Splashway Teams. Photo Team earn $7.50/hour + rewards Secondary Team positions are very limited and only available once you have been selected to another Team. Note: Rewards for each department include periodic raises and bonuses through Splashway s incentive program and are dependent on your performance. 2

Family Appearance Guidelines THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW The image of a positive, safe, and clean environment is presented to our guests by the personal appearance of our team members. We ask that all team members keep their hair clean and neat during the course of their employment. All team members should shower daily prior to reporting to work, wearing deodorant, and clean uniforms. Shorts cannot be worn below the waistline (no sagging). Radical hairstyles are not permitted. Male team members should keep their hair neatly trimmed above the collar. Neatly trimmed facial hair is permitted but not recommended. The emphasis is on CLEAN & NEAT. Jewelry must be conservative. Team members may not exceed two small stud earrings per ear (spacers, hoops, gauges, large or dangling earrings are not permitted). Facial piercings are not permitted. Tattoos should not be visible to the public. Cell phones are NOT permitted to be carried while on-duty by non-supervisory staff. Any appearances deemed inappropriate by management are not permitted. Family Trainings/Orientations/Meetings Prior to employment, selected applicants must attend one or more orientation meetings at which various jobs, responsibilities, and benefits will be more specifically addressed. This is your chance to ask questions and make sure that you are a good fit to join our team. Once hired, all team members will be required to attend periodic meetings throughout the summer to review and improve skills and job performance. Lifeguard Team, on their own time, must maintain the levels of fitness and skill proficiency necessary to maintain certification. Specific information concerning training dates will be available after interviews. In addition to specific departmental trainings, all departments will attend orientation training. Family Uniforms All family members are required to wear a designated uniform. As with your appearance, uniforms need to be neat and clean at all times. Team members must provide their own footwear including tennis shoes for all positions except lifeguards and sport sandals or flip-flops for guards. Shoes are required for safety and professional reasons that will be discussed during orientation. Uniform alterations or footwear deemed inappropriate by management are not permitted. A Splashway hat, sunscreen with at least 15 SPF, sunglasses/safety glasses and safety gloves are required dependent upon position. All team uniforms, optional wet weather gear, and sports bags will be available at a minimum cost to all team members. Shirts are approximately $20 each. Caps are approximately $10 each. Departments other than lifeguarding require uniform shorts for around $25, or you may provide your own. Lifeguard uniforms are around $50. Lifeguard certifications will be about $45 for old and $90 for new guards. *Exact costs, sample uniforms and supplies will be available on the day you interview. Hours of Operation and Shifts Splashway will open weekends starting May 14 th and beginning May 28 th, we will open 7 days a week until mid-august. The park hours of operation are Monday-Saturday 10am-6pm and Sundays 12-6pm. Most shifts will be an all day shift with some exceptions. During every four hours you are guaranteed at least one 30 minute break. Most shifts begin 30 minutes before park opening and end 30 minutes to an hour after closing. Questions? A guardian s signature is required for all applicants 18 and younger. Applications without signatures will not be accepted. 1. I hereby authorize Splashway LLC to seek medical treatment for injuries or illness sustained by employee (also referred to as Family Member) during the course of his/her employment. Splashway LLC will make a conscientious effort to notify parents or guardians should treatment become necessary for the dependent child. Additionally, I understand that in the event of a work related injury requiring medical treatment a drug test will be conducted and that I am subject to random drug testing. 2. I agree in the event of employment, at Splashway, or any person it may authorize, shall be entitled, without further consent, to copyright, sell or use in any manner, a photograph or video of me or recording of my voice. 3. I understand that if hired by Splashway LLC, my employment is seasonal, and will not extend past Splashway s last day of operation this year. I further understand that I am an at will employee. I am not guaranteed employment during the entire operating season and hours for which I am scheduled to work may be reduced or eliminated, without prior notice or compensation, based on the sole discretion of Splashway management. 4. Though Splashway LLC strives to offer competitive compensation, I understand that as a seasonal employer and under state and federal exemptions for amusement and seasonal operations, Splashway LLC is not obligated to the standards of the Federal Minimum Wage Act. Hourly compensation and pay adjustments are dependent on the discretion of Splashway management. 5. I understand that Splashway requires all of its employees to act in the best interests of the company. As an employee, it is my responsibility to, and I will, observe all rules, policies, operating procedures, and directives of Splashway LLC and behave with courtesy and respect toward other employees, guests, and members of the public. I understand that it is my responsibility to read and follow the rules of the SOP manual provided online. If a written copy of the SOP is needed simply request a copy from your department manager. 6. I do hereby release and hold harmless Splashway LLC from any and all claims whatsoever, including but not limited to, personal injury arising out of or relating to any non-work hour and/or non-work related recreational activity provided to employee by or on behalf of Splashway LLC. 7. Uniform- I understand that it is my responsibility to have a full uniform each day that I work and by failing to do so, I authorize Splashway LLC to issue me any missing components of my uniform and deduct the cost of the missing pieces from my paycheck. If your uniform is damaged while performing, work Splashway will provide you with a replacement at no cost. If your uniform is damaged outside of work, it is the responsibility of the employee to replace the damaged article(s) at their cost. 8. I understand that I should not engage with guests or potential guests through social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google Plus, Flickr, Pinterest, etc) as an official or unofficial representative of Splashway Waterpark. This also includes comment boxes, chat boards, and any other public forum on the Internet, or web at large. Additionally, I understand that employment related questions or information should be requested through park management and not social media unless instructed. 9. I affirm that to my knowledge I am not suffering from any health related illness that would prevent me from executing the duties as described to me in hiring. I also affirm that I do not suffer from any illnesses or physical conditions or that I have informed you of such conditions and provide you with written approval from my physician to perform the duties required of me. 10.
