COMMANDER S REPORT: Tom Fitzsimmons Armory Update: The latest report on the lead problem at the armory is that the bids for the cleanup will be submitted in the near future. After the contracts are awarded the cleanup will start and from what we know now it will be a complete cleanup of the entire armory. My guess is that it will be 2021/2022 before we can again enter the armory. The Executive Board continues to meet every month but we do miss the General Membership attending the monthly meetings. On that note we would appreciate a strong attendance at the December Meeting (12/16/18) where we have our elections and Christmas Party at Wolfe Tones Pub. Two other events where your attendance will be appreciated is St. Patrick's Day and also the Annual Makin Day Dinner. Makin Day Dinner Friday, 11/2/18: The Makin Day Dinner that is the traditional event celebrating the first combat in WW II. The Makin Day Dinner will take place on Friday, November 2, 2018. We have gone to contract with the Masonic Hall again this year An invitation is attached to this Bulletin, please read it and follow up by attending. I again mention the Makin Day Dinner being held at the Masonic Hall. There were some logistical problems last year but Captains Michael Clifford and Dennis Tierney of the active battalion were of great assistance in solving them and I am sure they will be of assistance again this year. Paying at the door becomes a problem as the building security must receive a roster of those attending 48 hours prior to the event. The best way is to submit your invitation with your check as soon as possible. Also you must identify any guest you may invite by their name, not as a guest of yours by using your name. Due to parking in the area around Masonic Hall we will again seek permission to assemble at the armory and shuttle bus those attending to Masonic Hall. More information in next Bulletin. We will starts accepting reservations and payments upon receiving this Bulletin. You can also make your payment using Pay Pal see the Web Sight WWW.THE69THVETERANSCORPS.COM Logan Duffy Rifle Match Saturday, 9/15/18 - Results: The Logan-Duffy Rifle Match between the 182 nd Inf and the 69 th Inf, a competition that date back to the 1930 s was held on September 15 th, 2018 and hosted by the 182 nd infantry, MAARNG and conducted at Ft.
