Degree in Medicine (M.B.B.S.) with Diploma in Pathology or Transfusion Medicines having adequate knowledge in blood group serology, blood group methodology and medical principles involved in the procurement of blood and/or preparation of its components The degree or diploma being from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India. Terms of Reference for the post of Senior Pathologist 1. To ensure through maintenance of records and other latest techniques used in blood banking system that the personnel involved in blood banking activities for collection, storage, testing and distribution are adequately trained in the current Good Manufacturing Practices/Standard Operating Procedures for the tasks undertaken by each personnel. The personnel shall be made aware of the principles of Good Manufacturing Practices/Standard operating Procedures that affect them and receive initial and continuing training relevant to their needs. 2. To ensure that blood bank is equipped and functional as per the guidelines of Food & Drugs Administration/ National Blood Transfusion Council. 3. To do all activities as deemed necessary for proper functioning of Blood Bank including Blood and disposal of waste including quality issues. 4. To assist the Blood Bank In Charge in carrying out activities related to Blood Safety Program 5. To participate in various activities for improvement of Voluntary Blood Donation through 6. To perform any other work assigned by Chief Medical Superintendent or the U.P. State Blood Transfusion Council (SBTC), Lucknow in the interest of Blood Safety Program. (1)

Degree in Medicine (M.B.B.S.) having experience in Blood Bank for one year during regular service and also has adequate knowledge and experience in blood group serology, blood group methodology and medical principles involved in the procurement of blood and/or preparation of its components. The degree or diploma being from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India. Terms of Reference for the post of Medical Officer- Blood Bank 1. Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Psychology/ Social Work/ Anthropology/ Human Development/ Business administration/ Public Health or equivalent from university / institute recognized by Central or State Government. 2. Good communication skill. 4. Preference to be given to candidates with experience in Public Health especially Motivation of Voluntary Blood Donation/ Blood Bank. Terms of Reference for the post of Public Relation Officer 1. To maintain a good working relationship with blood bank staff and relatives of patient requiring blood or blood product and between various government and non-government organization. 2. Educating the community on the beneficial effects of blood donation and harmful effects of collecting blood from professional / paid donors. 3. To facilitate organization of minimum two Blood Donation Camps per month. 4. To maintain a well indexed record of voluntary blood donors/ partner agencies including contact details of key stakeholders. 5. Actively encourage voluntary Blood Donation by potential partners and encourage for repeat non-remunerated Voluntary Blood Donation. 6. Advocate, liaise, coordinate and establish working partnerships with Organizations / associations like Banks, Uniformed forces, Clubs, Institutions, Colleges, Public & Private Institutions and general public at large for Voluntary Blood Donation drives 7. To involve in motivational talks to ensure progressive increase the number of voluntary nonremunerated blood donors every year. 8. To prepare Monthly work plan of Voluntary Blood Donation camps in consultation with Blood Donor Organizations/ Partners to meet the annual target of Voluntary Blood Donation. 9. To prepare quarterly Voluntary Blood Donation Camp Program, submit to the Blood Bank In Charge and share it with U.P. State Blood Transfusion Council (SBTC), Lucknow, with in one month of joining. 10. To ensure timely (by the 5th of every month) submission of monthly Report from the Blood Bank to U.P. To maintain computer, printer, fax machine & other office instruments in proper running and safe condition. 4. To ensure proper display of Blood bank Data and IEC Material in and around the Blood Bank premises. 6. To prepare & maintain a list of all the NACO/ UPSACS supplied equipments including details of date of supply, functional status, AMC status and send it to U.P State AIDS Control Society with in one month of joining. In addition- in the absence of Blood Bank Counselor, the Lab Technician shall be responsible for- a. Counseling and referral of donors found sero-reactive to any of the five TTIs (HIV, HBV, HCV, syphilis & Malaria) to appropriate Medical units b. Preparation of an Annual Voluntary Blood Donation Camp Program, submit to the Blood Bank In Charge and share it with U.P. State Blood Transfusion Council, Lucknow with in one month of joining. (5)
