HESPERIA RETAIL The City of Hesperia is located in San Bernardino County, California. Hesperia is the closest city within the High Desert to the Los Angeles basin. It s trade area further extends to the San Bernardino National Forest region to the south. In addition to residents from Victorville and Apple Valley, many residents of Lake Arrowhead, Big Bear and Blue Jay come down to Hesperia to satisfy their shopping needs. Hesperia s trade area exceeds 150,000 residents with average incomes of over $60,000 and over $1.8 billion in trade potential. Incorporated in 1988, Hesperia today has become known, not only for affordable housing, but also for the clean air and beautiful desert scenery. Expanding Area A variety of new developments include two large shopping complexes near Interstate 15 and Main Street. A 180,000 SF Super Target anchor in The High Desert Gateway located on the west side of the freeway. Other retailers at this project include: Ross, Marshalls, and Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts. On the east side of the freeway, a new 195,000 SF Wal-mart Supercenter had a September 2012 opening. All in all, over 683,000 square feet of retail and restaurants representing some of the top national companies, have, in the last few years, opened in Hesperia. Rancho Las Flores, a 9,850 acre master planned community is anticipated to add 15,500 residential units to Hesperia. Logistics Advantage Hesperia has a strong Interstate highway network and prime rail-accessible land. Retail goods movement, whether the focus is grocery, e-commerce, or traditional retail, has never been easier - or more cost effective. Hesperia s $60 million Ranchero Road interchange broke ground January 2013 and consists of a six-lane bridge with a center median over I-15. It is slated for completion by January 2015.
