Guide to Registrations and Submissions Hello and welcome, Thank you for your interest and willingness to participate in the first ever Young Entrepreneur Program (YEP), brought to you by the Malaysian Pharmacy Student s Association (MyPSA). Participants in this program will be working in teams, a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 members, to come up with new, creative, exciting, innovative and interesting business ideas. The teams must consist of members registered in a pharmacy undergraduate program. The ideas proposed can range from a multitude of pharmaceutical fields ranging from: Hospitals Industrial Community Pharmacies The ideas deal with a multitude of aspects either related to the fields mentioned above, or even something more creative that affects pharmacy as a profession. It can either be a novel business idea that no one has thought of before, or a new creative way to provide more services to the public, or it can even be a new system that improves upon quantity and quality of work that pharmacists can provide for the betterment of the public and society. Teams will have to fill up the registration form provided with all the details needed. Incomplete forms will not be entertained. Along with the registration form will be accompanied by a proposal summary of your groups idea. A set of questions will be provided to act as a guide to complete the proposal summary. The length of each answer to the question will be left up to you, however the complete proposal summary should not exceed 2 pages. The completed registration form and proposal summary can be emailed to participants.yep@gmail.com in the form of a PDF document. The registration form and the proposal summary may be submitted at different dates, as long as it is before the closing date for submission which has been extended to 15 th July 2015. Please be noted that there is a RM20 registration fee for the initial part of the program, which involves the submission of the business proposal summary. The top 10 teams that will be selected for the actual pitching competition itself will be subjected to a RM20 per pax registration fee upon confirmation of their acceptance to join the final part of the program. Proposal Summary The proposal summary should not exceed 2 pages with the following instructions: Page should be A4 sized Font : Times New Roman Size : 12 Spacing : 1.0 Answers for each questions may be of any length Proposed ideas should be logical and practical Questions 1. Why do you want to be an entrepreneur? (Answer should be contributed by each member) 2. What is the specific need or problem that you identify? 3. Why do you think that there is a necessity to solve the problem? 4. What is your idea to solve the problem? 5. How does your idea work? (Explain your idea in details.) 6. How do you define your target market? (Clarify your target group and how you ll reach them. Discuss about the growth potential, consumer preferences and marketing channels.) 7. How do you generate revenue from your idea? (Discuss briefly on your business model, on how to make profit from your business operation.) 8. What is your competitive advantage? (To show what makes your business different from others, and special) 9. What is your implementation plan for the next 6 months? (Illustrate your steps in developing and starting your business. e.g.program model, goal of the program, recruitment strategy, staff training, etc) 10. Is your business sustainable? Why?
