Hospitality, Volunteer and Chaperone Page Hospitality Needs Opportunities are still available to help during band camp, especially lunches on August 1, 2, and 3. Dessert donations are needed as well as help serving the meals. Please sign up in Charms. Desserts for band camp can be dropped off with your student in the morning. Please indicate whether the dessert is for lunch or dinner. Please remember that desserts should be nut free and it is helpful to send in on a plate that does not need to be returned. Gluten free and vegan desserts are also welcomed. We currently have a large inventory of bottled water on hand that I am trying to deplete before restocking our shed. We also have a large inventory of coke, Pepsi, and sprite. However, I am looking for donations of root beer, Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, Lipton Iced Tea, orange and grape soda to supplement our inventory. If you can contribute, please send your donation in with your student to practice or band camp. Please DO NOT send in donations of chips and other snack food at this time. We do not have the space to store such items and often they expire before we can use them. Please continue to read the E-Blasts and Facebook for opportunities to contribute such items. As always your help and support is very much appreciated!

Also, with the exception of Monday s lunch, there will be the option of the leftovers from the meal that was previously served. The kids eat good thanks to them and all the help them get to serve this up. GUARD CAMP: Monday- Sports Madness!! Tuesday- Tourist!! Wednesday- ON WEDNESDAYS WE WEAR PINK!! Thursday- Gender Bender!! (seeking confirmation on what that is exactly. J Friday- Fort Mill Friday!! (Friday of guard camp is 'band pre camp' so it's only 9amnoon) BAND CAMP: Monday- Disney Day!! Tuesday- Tie Dye shirts!! (We will make these during guard camp after hours-more info on that soon) Wednesday- Pink again!! Thursday- Section color day (Seniors are still working out details but I think the guard is wearing camo.) Keep in mind that on Thursday we will have senior night, and all band/guard members will stay until 10 or 11 pm. (parents be prepared for that going later) Friday- Animal day!! (On the Friday of band camp we will only practice until 5 pm, when we will showcase what we have worked on the last two weeks. We are not dressed as animals, we will have show shirts! Yay!)

5 Band Fees If you haven t paid your band fees yet, your June 15 th and July 15 th payments are late. Take the time now to bring your band fee/account up to date. You can pay in the misc. ledger in Charms. If you would like to mail in your payment, make your checks payable to FMDBBC 2764 Pleasant Road #10503 Fort Mill, SC 29708 Things You Need for Band Camp: Water Thermos (half- gallon or gallon) Put your name on it. Sunscreen Cooling Towel (ex. Frog Tog) Hat Sunglasses Instrument with plenty of reeds and supplies Nutritious snacks Comfortable athletic shoes with support Make sure to eat a healthy breakfast, get plenty of sleep and drink LOTS of water starting days before band camp starts. It also won t hurt to start an exercise plan, like running.

Percussion students should notify Ms. Hughes (hughesj@fortmillschools.org) in advance of any family vacations, mission trips or other conflicts with the summer rehearsal and any other rehearsals on the calendar. Important Information for all Percussion Families All New percussion students need to fill out and return attached forms by Monday July 17 th (1 st day of Percussion Camp), including a copy of their Health Insurance Card. During Percussion Camp, all students will remain on campus. If you need to leave for any reason please notify Ms. Hughes. All meals will be on Campus.
