If you don t see him over the weekend, you ll be sure to see him soon he comes to us from Malone s St. Andre Besette Parish, and originally hails from Watertown. I ll let him tell you more about himself, when he has the chance to talk directly with you. I ll just say that I m pleased that he s joining us here, and I look forward to working with him. This coming Friday (October 5th) is the First Friday of the month. Our customary First Friday Holy Hour will be at Sacred Heart this month, and it will entail a special allnight vigil. The Diocese has set a $16 million goal, which will include $1.3 million for the 2018 Bishop s Fund Appeal. Of the funds raised, 75% will remain right here in our Parish, to support major needs such as capital improvements. The remaining 25% benefits the entire Diocese supporting Retired Priests, Seminarians, Camp Guggenheim and St. Mary s Cathedral. Please prayerfully consider a gift weeks. They need adults who wish to share their talents with students from 36 grades. Some student suggestions are woodworking, jewelry making, gardening, cooking/baking, art (focusing on special techniques, such as pottery, charcoal drawing, pastels, etc.), photography, creative writing, scrapbooking, knitting/ crocheting, sewing, technology (such as coding), and chess. You may even have your own ideas to suggest. This program will consist of three 6week sessions running in the fall, winter and spring, one day per week after school from approximately3:154:45.
