SCHEDULE FOR CHILDREN WHO RESIDE IN: LAWNDALE APARTMENTS JUNE 3 - JUNE 14 DIXON APARTMENTS MADISON COURT APARTMENTS JUNE 17 - JUNE 28 8TH STREET APARTMENTS Children: With the weather improving, children are outdoors more. As a result, we have started receiving complaints about some of the children going into other resident s yards. The kids are picking things up and taking them out of the yard, trashing someone else s yard and in general being a nuisance. Parents need to supervise your children and instruct them to stay out of the neighbor s yard unless they have permission. Parents should always know where their children are and what they are doing. Parents will be responsible for the actions and activities of your children. Please talk to your children and explain how to be a good neighbor. Dumpsters: Residents are reminded that only normal household garbage can be placed in the dumpsters. Dumpsters are provided for the use of housing residents only. Non-residents caught using the dumpsters will be prosecuted for illegal dumping. Residents please do not put large items in the dumpsters. Call in a work order and we will pick up items for you. If you are a scrapper (someone who collects/salvages metal for recycling), please do not place your leftovers in the dumpsters. We will not pick your salvage waste up. It is your responsibility to dispose of these items. This means taking the salvage waste to the landfill. Yards: Residents need to ensure your yards are clean and free of trash and debris. You are responsible for the trash in your yard. If we have to clean it up for you, there will be a $25.00 yard clean up fee charged to you. This includes both the front and rear yards. Long ago people in England honored their mothers on a day called "Mothering Sunday." The special flower for the day is a carnation. Anna M. Jarvis (1864-1948) was the founder of Mother's Day in the United States. It was her own mother's idea, and Anna carried it out. President Wilson proclaimed Mother's Day to be on the second Sunday in May. We take this day to honor good mothers everywhere, and to bring families together.
