The championship will take place 16 th to 19 th of June 2017 at the Air Force Base F 7 Wing in Såtenäs, Lidköping situated in the south western part of Sweden. B. Composition of the Mission 1 team captain 1 coach 3 male competitors 3 female competitors The missions are welcome to bring a total number of 8 persons. Additional personnel will not be accepted without an official written request followed by a permission of the organizer. C. Access to the Location of the Competition The Championship is hosted by the Swedish Armed Forces (SAF). Air Force Base F 7 Wing, Såtenäs (582542N 124240E), situated in the south western part of Sweden, is responsible for the practical arrangements. Access to Air Force Base F 7 Wing, Såtenäs by road: E6/E20 E45 Rv44 Access to Air Force Base F 7 Wing Såtenäs by rail: Railway Station Skövde (designated point of arrival and departure). Railway Station Herrljunga (designated point of arrival and departure). Railway Station Grästorp (designated point of arrival and departure). Access to Air Force Base F 7 Wing Såtenäs via air: International airport Landvetter (designated point of arrival and departure) National airport Trollhättan-Vänersborg airport (designated point of arrival and departure). Military airport Såtenäs (designated point of arrival and departure). The cost of travel to and from the designated points of arrival and departure in Sweden is solely the responsibility of the participating nations. Transportation from the designated points of arrival and return will be provided on request by the organizer free of charge. 4/9
D. Conditions of Stay International Military Sports Council During their stay at Air Force Base F 7 Wing, Såtenäs the teams are guests of the SAF. Meals, accommodation and local transportation during the competition will be provided by the organizer. Extra expenses such as fees for taxi, additional drinks etcetera must be paid by the teams respectively. Any costs associated with the stay of the teams before the 16 th or after the 19 th of June must be paid by the teams respectively. E. Regulations of the Championship The competition will be governed by the following regulations: International Military Sports Council The CISM Triathlon Regulations, Edition 2011 The competition is limited to military personal on active duty. (CISM Regulations, Article 7.21) Competition course The course is in the centre of the town of Lidköping with the transition area situated at one of the bridges over the river Lidan. Swim course is a 1 500 meters one-loop swim in the river Lidan. Bike course is a 40 kilometres eight-loop ride with flat and fast 5 km rounds on tarmac with just 140 metres of paving stone. The bike course is closed for public traffic (drafting). Run Course is a 10 kilometres four-loop run on tarmac following the river Lidan up and down stream. ƒ Any exception to the regulations and modification to the competition course will be forwarded to all participating teams. F. Uniforms Competition outfit and equipment shall be in accordance with the CISM Triathlon Regulations, Edition 2011. Military uniform is compulsory during lunch and award ceremonies in Lidköping the 18 th of June. 5/9
G. Weather information The weather in June can range from rainy to sunny with a daily high of 20-27 Celsius to a daily low of 10-15 Celsius. Water temperature is expected to be between 18-22 C. H. Request for visit and customs procedures Information concerning request for visit and customs procedures is normally obtained by the participating nations embassies respectively in Sweden. The Swedish embassies in the participating nations can present information as well concerning these issues. I. Registration Forms Deadlines Preliminary registration: 18 th of April 2017 Final registration: 19 th of May 2017 Request for visit 19 th of May 2017 In the registration forms, the participating team shall indicate a valid and operated phone, mobile phone, fax number and email address. All names mentioned in registration forms and request for visit must be written as stated in the passports. J.
