Disneyland Tour 2015 Costs Payment Schedule and Deadlines Rules Itinerary Chaperones Fundraising
The Music Ensembles from San Leandro High School and Bancroft Middle School have applied to perform in Disneyland. This tour continues a long history of tours that BancroftMS and SLHS have undertaken together. We are very excited to have the entire music department from Bancroft MS and SLHS participating on this year's tour. We are planning for performances for each ensemble (SLHS Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Orchestra and Notables). We can offer a much more economical pricing for hotel, bus and tickets because of the very large number of students involved. (We are anticipating 6-7 buses for over 350 students between SLHS and Bancroft MS
Present numbers: SLHS Wind Ensemble - 119 SLHS Jazz Ensemble - 14 SLHS Orchestra - 69 SLHS Notables - 24 Bancroft Advanced Band - 77 Bancroft Advanced Orchestra - 44 4 Teachers plus accompanist We need at least 47 Chaperones!! 330-340 Students plus over 50 adults
Thursday, May 21 All SLHS performing groups will meet at SLHS at 7 am to receive luggage tags and last minute instructions. They will depart from SLHS at 7 am (Bancroft MS performing groups will meet at Bancroft at 7:30 am and depart at 7:30 am from Bancroft MS). Buses should arrive at the Portafino Inn and Springhill Suites in Anaheim, CA. approximately 4 pm. After check in, the students and chaperones would proceed to Disneyland until closing. After the park closes, All students may explore Downtown Disney until 10 pm. At 10 pm, Chaperones lead students back to the hotels.
Friday May 22 The students are free to enjoy the parks until closing. Saturday May 23 Disney has notified us that all performances be in the main park on Saturday May, 23rd. After each performance, students are required to attend the other performing groups from our tour. After all groups have performed, students would be free to enjoy Disneyland and California Adventure until midnight.
Sunday May 24 We will check out of the hotels around 9 am and depart for San Leandro. After a lunch break in Buttonwillow, we should arrive at SLHS around 5 pm.
All performers are required to travel and stay with the group. There will be no exceptions. This package is available to performers only. This first payment is a NON Refundable Deposit, (refundable ONLY if we are not accepted by Disneyland). Please meet all payment deadlines to insure your reservations. Disneyland contracts must be returned to Mr Leese, Mrs Jowe or Ms Dent no later than Friday September 18th. After this date and contract is signed, we are are resposible and liable for 75% of the hotel costs!!!
We have applied for the trip already.the number of performers may not change by more than 10% or the application is denied and the schools must re-apply. Since this is a collaborative tour between SLHS and Bancroft, it is doubtful that we would be able to share the same tour dates unless we are accepted together.
$530 per student $430 per chaperone Round trip transportation aboard a deluxe motor coach from SLHS or Bancroft MS to the Portofino Inn and Springhill Suites in Anaheim, CA Three nights accommodations at the Portofino Inn and Springhill Suites in Anaheim CA (across the street and within walking distance from Disneyland) based on 5 persons per room. A 25 minute performance at Disneyland or California Adventure Park Three days admission into Disneyland and California Adventure Park Breakfast included on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the hotel. All taxes and gratuities included.
DISNEYLAND CONTRACT This contractual agreement must be signed by all student performers and a parent/guardian. I would like my child,, to be included on the Disneyland trip. I understand that I will be responsible to help finance the trip through payments, fundraisers, and/or donations to the best of my ability. I agree to the following set of rules: 1. Financial contributions will be kept up to date as much as possible (contact teacher if financial difficulties develop) 2. 2. My child is committed to attend the trip and does not plan on dropping out. I understand that we can jeopardize the entire trip if we drop our performer numbers by more than 10%. 3. I understand that behavior, practice, participation in class, and participation in ALL assigned concerts are REQUIRED to be eligible to attend the Disneyland field trip. If any of these criteria are not met during the year, my child could lose the privilege of attending the trip. Suspensions and/or referrals may result in elimination from the trip. 4. I understand that this is a school field trip, and agree to allow my child to be transported to and from the trip on the tour bus. My child will be under the supervision of school personnel and tour chaperones throughout the tour. Serious offenses while on the trip will result in the student being sent home early at parent expense, or possible arrest if laws are broken. 5. We reserve the right to search any luggage or student for illegal drugs, alcohol or weapons.
