BACKGROUND The Mt The Prgram was started by Yuendumu Cmmunity in 1993 t address chrnic petrl sniffing in Yuendumu. The prgram has since bradened in nature and scpe t prvide a cmprehensive prgram f diversin, treatment, aftercare and yuth leadership and develpment thrughut the Warlpiri regin. The prgram is predminantly funded by Office f Abriginal and Trres Strait Islander Health (OATSIH). The Prgram has challenged a generatin destrying itself thrugh substance misuse. Strng cmmunity actin created an envirnment fr healthy change, and that same generatin nw accepts that it is ttally uncl t sniff petrl. While we fcus n individuals invlved in the Prgram, ur apprach is in a cmmunity and family cntext. The Prgram nw prvides a psitive framewrk thrugh Mt The Outstatin, Yuth Diversinary Prgrams, Jaru Pirrjirdi Yuth Leadership and Develpment Prgram, and Warra- Warra Kanyi Cunselling Service in which yung peple can grw strng and take their place as future cmmunity leaders. Mt The Prgram prvides yuth services in the Warlpiri cmmunities f Yuendumu, Willwra, Nyirrpi and Lajamanu, and ffers care fr all yung peple frm the Warlpiri natin. 2. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The primary rle f the Mt The Outstatin Crdinatr is t c-rdinate the peratins f the Mt The Outstatin. The verall bjective is t supprt yung peple in recvering frm substance misuse and anti-scial behavir and prvide pprtunities fr their persnal and prfessinal develpment whilst staying at Mt The Outstatin. The Mt The Outstatin Crdinatr will supervise and case manage these clients, and reprt t Crrectinal Services and the Curt where required. The Mt The Outstatin Crdinatr will als supervise all Outstatin staff, including the Outstatin Crdinatin Team and Outstatin Carers. The Crdinatr shuld nly play a supervisry rle with the technical peratins f the Outstatin, which primarily fall under the remit f the Assistant Outstatin Crdinatr. 2. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS The Mt The Outstatin Crdinatr supervises all Outstatin staff and reprts directly t the Operatins Manager, and the WYDAC Cmmittee. 3. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES PRIMARY DUTIES The Mt The Outstatin Crdinatr will Visit and stay at Mt The Outstatin at least nce per week Case-manage utstatin clients as per detailed Plicies and Prcedures including Assess referred clients fr admissin Develp client care plans fr entry, evaluatin and exit Engage with clients and staff n the implementatin f the client care plan. Maintain up-t-date files including daily assessments and reprting Supervise and reflect n client activity at the Outstatin Represent yung peple in bush curt Manage Outstatin staff Outstatin Crdinatin Team Assistant Crdinatr Outstatin Yuthwrker Outstatin Carers Supervise the general peratins f the utstatin Nte this shuld nly be general awareness f the current technical peratins f the Outstatin There shuld be clear delegatin t the Assistant C-rdinatr and Outstatin Yuthwrker fr the rganizatin and executin f day-t-day lgistics, fd supply and maintenance f Outstatin infrastructure and vehicles.
