SJS Saints News March 2, 2018 Teacher Feature St. Joe's Custom Office Update! Our Lenten Journey continues! We are now up to 55% school wide participation. Silent Saint The class with the highest family participation is Kindergarten with 89%! Our mission is to inspire and empower all learners to become the person God intends by integrating Catholic Virtue, Prayer and Service with 21st Century Learning. 1

SJS Saints News TEACHER FEATURE Ms. Kristi has been an assistant teacher at St. Joseph pre-school since the fall of 2008. She loves the fast pace and excitement of pre-school learning. Each day brings new challenges, new adventures and new accomplishments for the children and she feels so privileged to be a part of that growth. There is never a dull moment in a preschool classroom and that s just the way she likes it! Ms. Kristi grew up in Iowa and attended Iowa Central Community College. She has a CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential and a Minnesota Child Care Credential. In her spare time, she enjoys scrapbooking, reading and spending time with her family. She moved to Minnesota in 2007 with her husband (Jim) and two sons (Brandon-17 and Dylan-20). Both of her sons attended St. Joseph School and she has experienced the wonderful sense of family that comes with being a part of the St. Joseph community. She hopes to extend that feeling of belonging to all who attend St. Joe s! Teacher Feature Silent Saint 2

SJS Saints News JPII AWARD Students: Kate Meath Grade: 4 Virtues: Charity Nominated by: Mrs. Good Teacher Feature Silent Saint Story: Kate is always happy in the classroom. When we are cleaning up from an activity, she stays focused on the task and sees it though to completion. She makes sure the job is done. Thank you Kate for your example of the virtue of Charity! Our faith community has been blessed with MANY silent saints. Each month we honor our saints with a special day of prayer. Our families keep these silent saints in their prayers for that day. The recipient of our March 7 Day of Prayer is: Thank you Rob for your kindness, generosity and support. We are blessed to call you friend! 3
