St. David Holy Name Society Tom Budge Tom has been an active member of various Philadelphia Holy Name Societies since 1971, or for over 37 years. He has had numerous positions within the society at the parishes of St. Martin of Tours ( 71-2001) and St. David s (09 to present). He has been led by his devotion to Jesus and his faith by volunteering at the parishes in numerous activities such as news-letters, CYO Dances, fund raisers, Thanksgiving Baskets, in addition to accepting various positions, including President, within these parish Holy Name Societies. He has exhibited a wonderful example of a Parish leader within the Holy Name Society.
and Maternity BVM Holy Name Society John Carroll John Carroll is above all a doer. John, to the best of my knowledge has never said no when it comes to furthering the advancement of our faith. In the past, he has worked for the PAHNU as a recruitment officer, minute s secretary and on various other committees throughout the years. While recent health concerns have given him some tough times, John has steadfastly continued to perform his commitments to all of his catholic organizations which include the Knights of Columbus, Men of Malvern, and many archdiocesan catholic charities.
Holy Saviour Holy Name Society Joseph Barone For his service since 1930 as Joseph has been a Holy Saviour Parish Holy Name Society member for over 87 years. Joe joined the Holy Saviour Junior Holy Name Society when he was in grade school at around the age of 10. He has been an active member over these years, and had recruited some of the current members. Joe is one of most kind, generous, courteous gentleman that you may ever meet. Joe continues to attend daily mass whenever possible. He has served many positons within the Holy Name Society, and gives encouragement by his loving example.
Maternity BVM Holy Name Society Mike Smith Mike Smith, in addition to having served on the PAHNU board in past years has been a Holy Name member since he was a teenager. He has been treasurer for the past ten years, in addition to helping out with numerous other parish committees whenever he was needed. He has also been an active member of the Men of Malvern for more than 25 years.
St. Teresa of Calcutta Holy Name Society Richard Dylinski For his 68 years as an active Holy Name member while at St. John Cancius Parish in Bridesburg Philadelphia and at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Limerick PA. He has served on many church committees at both churches. In addition he served his country for four years in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in the Korean War.
St. Monica Parish Holy Name Society With to express their appreciation to Sylvester Buszta Sylvester Buszta is a 55 year Holy Name member since joining St. Peter's Church in Pottstown PA and at the St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Limerick PA. He served many years as Secretary and still is the Secretary now. He served his country for two years in the U.S. Army in Korea and Six years in the active Army Reserves.
St. Monica Parish Holy Name Society Vince Primavera Vince Primavera has been an active member of the Saint Monica Parish Holy Name Society since around 1959, or 58 years. He served two years in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He is still active with the Holy Name Society and is also a member of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society. He is continuously looked up to as a great example for us all.
