NESSA Northeast Shellfish Sanitation Association 2013 Annual Meeting Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management Providence, Rhode Island April 11 12, 2013 We extend an invitation to you to join the Northeast Shellfish Sanitation Association at their annual meeting to be held on Thursday, April 11 and Friday April12, 2013 in conference room 300 at RIDEM s Providence offices 235 Promenade Street, Providence, RI www.dem.ri.gov. Both days will start at 8 am and commence at 4 pm. The topics this year will include the latest issues relating to the shellfish industry, public health, aquaculture, Vibrios, ISSC updates and Model Ordinance changes. A tentative agenda is attached. REGISTRATION The full 2 day Registration will be $80 per person and must be pre-paid by March 21, 2013. This includes, facility fees, breakfast and lunch for both days. It can also be paid for at the door, cash or check accepted. This will include breakfast and lunch. EVENING RECEPTION: All are invited to attend an evening reception on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 5:30 pm at the Foundry Café, located on the first floor of our building. The reception will be $25 per person and will include light appetizers including locally grown shellfish and a cash bar for beer and wine.

BLOCKED OVERNIGHT ACCOMADATIONS We have reserved a block of rooms at the Marriott Providence for overnight travelers. The room rate is $121 per night for Deluxe King or Double. Rooms should be reserved by March 21, 2013 to guarantee this rate. Rooms are available for arrival on Wednesday, April 10 th. The hotel will have shuttle service available for our guests who are attending the conference and the office is approximately a 15 minute walk. Visitor parking is marked. (see map for locations) Walking directions from the Providence Amtrak Station DEM's Foundry Offices are located within walking distance of the Providence Station. The station is served by Amtrak trains and MBTA commuter trains. Exit out the back (southeast side) of the station (signs for taxis) Take a right and walk to the street named American Express Plaza Walk up American Express Plaza toward the Providence Place Mall Cross Francis Street and follow the walkway under the Providence Place Mall The walkway connects directly to Promenade Street Continue on Promenade Street Walk under Route I-95 and enter 235 Promenade Street on the right
