Our Mission To develop and prepare a new generation of leaders by providing leadership development, scholarships, resources, opportunities and advocacy to students in our community. Our Goal: To provide financial assistance to outstanding male and female high school seniors in our service area. In addition to excelling in the classroom, these individuals show leadership potential in the community and exemplify the values of volunteerism and service. Scholarship Eligibility Requirements: High School Seniors (male and female) who reside in or attend a high school in one of the following areas: Stone Mountain (30083, 30087, 30086, 30088), Lithonia (30038, 30058), Pine Lake (30072), Ellenwood (30294), Conyers (30012, 30013, 30094), McDonough (30252), Covington (30014, 30016), Mansfield (30055), Oxford (30054), Newborn (30056), Porterdale (30014, 30016), Stockbridge (30281), Auburn (30011),Bethlehem (30620), Hoschton (30548), Winder (30680), Centerville (30078), Lilburn (30047, 30048), Loganville (30052), Snellville (30039, 30078), Good Hope (30641), Jersey ( 30018), Monroe (30655, 30656), Social Circle (30025), and Walnut Grove (30052) are eligible to apply. Application requirements: a) An official high school transcript which includes first semester grades of the senior year enclosed in a sealed envelope. b) Two letters of recommendation: one from a school official (administrator, teacher or counselor); and one from a community representative (not family members) who can substantiate your involvement regarding community service, work experience and/or leadership ability. Both must be in sealed envelopes and must be included in your packet. c) A completed, signed and dated application. The application must be typed. (No additional attachments will be accepted, e.g. Resume). d) A typewritten essay on one of the topics listed on the essay Instructions sheet, no more than two pages, typewritten, and double-spaced. e) The completed application review/checklist cover sheet. 1

Your essay should be double spaced and attached to this sheet. It should also include your name at the top of the sheet. Be sure to indicate an X by the topic that you select. 1. FINAL REMINDERS 1. Completed application, cover checklist, essay response, letter(s) of recommendation and official transcript must be mailed together in the same envelope and received by February 15, 2014 (NO EXCEPTIONS). 2. Applications that are not mailed as a complete packet will not be considered for review.
