High school students and 4-H ages 14-18 are invited to attend the conference on May 11-13, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Registration deadline is April 30, 2018. The Steeped in Soil initiative encourages 4-H ers to understand and appreciate the importance of healthy soils! 4-H Nova Scotia is seeking a full-time Summer Student Administrative Assistant! That question is becoming mainstream in agriculture, yet it s something most youth have never considered. That is why industry experts and educators collaborated to create Farmers 2050 the newest virtual farm game on the market to help teens and adults understand what it really takes to feed the world. Journey 2050 is also taking students on a virtual farm simulation that explores world food sustainability. Using an inquiry based approach this program encourages students to make decisions and adjust them as they see their impact on society, the environment and the economy at a local and global scale. The students experience the lives of three farm families in Kenya, India, and Canada.
