Funding SART Listserv October 2007 Background: We recently found out that we are not going to receive a continuation grant through the Department of Justice Office on Violence against Women to fund our program. We are in the process of searching for other ways to fund our program which is relatively new on campus. Do any of you have ideas or advice for seeking out other funding opportunities and grants? RESOURCES GRANTS AND GRANTMAKERS ACF Compassion Capital Fund The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families site that provides information and resources on grant solicitations and existing grantees. The Brookdale Foundation The Brookdale Foundation Group seeks to enhance the quality of life for America's senior citizens and to further the fields of gerontology and geriatrics. Federal Register The Federal Register is the official daily publication for rules, proposed rules, and notices of Federal agencies and organizations. Federal and State Funding Matrix The Federal Funding Matrix is a compilation of federal grant opportunities currently available from the federal government that may be of interest to domestic violence/social change organizations. Ms. Foundation for Women The Ms. Foundation for Women funds in the areas of economic security; health and safety; and girls, young women and leadership. W. K. Kellogg Foundation The Foundation focuses on building the capacity of individuals, communities, and institutions to solve their own problems. A grant purpose area for health may be of interest to SARTs.
