Did you know that by purchasing items off of Amazon, they donate a small amount to our 4-H Foundation? Well they do! AmazonSmile donates 0.5% of your pre-shipping cost to the charity of your choice at no cost to you. If you have an amazon account, at the bottom of the page it shows a link for "About AmazonSmile" and you can enroll in your favorite charity! We are on there as Saline County 4-H Foundation Inc! Check out www.smile.amazon.com today! Parents & Leaders (PALs)! The next PALs meeting will be Tuesday, October 16. This will be the first time I will email out the recording of the lesson. There will NOT be a live meeting this time around. The incentive plan is where members can keep track of their points and what work they have done. We hope that this will be an easy way to track what you have done all year long. The incentive plan also has a prize attached to it. In the past, our 4-H Members of the year have been chosen by the county office. The incentive plan changes that. The junior and senior 4-H Members of the year will be recognized at the county awards banquet in January. The top 3 juniors and top 3 seniors will be interviewed by county staff to choose the Junior and Senior of the year. If you would like more information on the best methods to keep track of points or what events count vs. what doesn t count, contact Stephany! If you would like to put anything in the newsletter, please email srogers@uaex.edu. We would love to see kid/adult spotlights, articles and anything else!
