SADCIC has been set up as a Community, with volunteer directors, to help regenerate Saxmundham and surrounding villages in terms of economic, social and environmental developments SADCIC seeks a wider / improved community engagement and participation for a sustainablecommunity and economic development of Saxmundham and (but not exclusively) the surrounding villages of the Saxmundham IP17 postal area.
Saxmundham Community Plan Action Plan 2009 Derived from information gathered through workshop and drop in consultations with the community, a postal survey of 5500 households in IP17 and a survey questionnaire of 250 local young people. More than 18 months work and 18k investment.
SADCIC s vision is that in 2015 Saxmundham will be a vibrant and socially inclusive market town, containing: A new Health Centre A Community Enterprise Centre More higher skilled, higher paid employment opportunities, especially for the young adults of the area An integrated transport hub for the area A revitalised secondary education facility on the current Middle School site A revitalised High Street with a produce market supporting the livelihoods of local suppliers Two popular town centre supermarkets

1. Community Enterprise Centre SADCIC will set up a project group to progress the Community Enterprise Centre and will co-opt members from local organisations including the Town Council. The centre will be a multifunction, multiagency building and SADCIC is looking to work in partnership with a variety of users in providing accommodation and services. These may include: Suffolk County Council for Saxmundham based staff, Library, EDR, the Police, BT, University Campus Suffolk and Otley College.

The Community Enterprise Centre would directly impact the following LSP Key Community Economy Issues: Maintain and enhance the prosperity of our rural areas and promote opportunities for people to develop the skills they need. Develop tourism and high technology industries
The Community Enterprise Centre would aim to be a local exemplar, and promoter, of: Reduction reuse recycling waste Energy conservation Water conservation Renewable energy Pollution control
