Submission after the deadline will not be accepted. * You must complete the online application (including payment of the application fee) before you submit the documents. * The admission decisions will be posted on the SU website (http://eng.sejong.ac.kr) for a week. Since the announcement will not be available after this period, please check out the admission decisions and guidelines on registration on time. 4. Issuance of Admission Letter (provisional) June 19, 2015-5. Tuition Payment (provisional) July 6, 2015 - July 10, 2015 * To accept the admission offer, you must pay the full amounts of both the entrance fee and the tuition within the registration period. Failure to do so will be considered a rejection of the offer and the offer of admission will be revoked without notice. 6. Ⅲ Eligibility and Qualifications Program Both Freshman Transfer Eligibility - A non-korean national whose parents are BOTH non-korean nationals A Taiwanese applicant with one parent of Taiwanese nationality is classified as an international student for application purpose. Anyone who has acquired foreign citizenship by changing his/her nationality is not eligible. A Korean citizen who holds dual citizenships is not considered foreigners. International applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements: A. A student who has completed, or is expected to complete primary and secondary education at the time of application (Vocational schools are included). B. A non-korean national who satisfies language proficiency requirements specified below: (1) English Track: Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Hospitality, Tourism and Food Service Management, Computer Science and 1) A person who meets at least one of the following language proficiency requirements TOEIC TEPS IELTS 550 210 80 700 550 5.5 Students from a country whose mother tongue is the English language (e.g. the US) are exempted from this requirement. (2) Non-English Track (Korean Track) 1) A person who meets minimum TOPIK score Dance; Korean Language and Literature; Others Applied Music Commnication Arts; Business Administration Level 2 Level 4 Level 3 2) Those who do not meet the above TOPIK requirements will also be eligible for the admission if i) they have registered in the Center of International Education of Sejong University for more than 6 months, ii) completed Korean language course of level 4 or higher at the Center, iii) have a letter of recommendation by the dean, and iv) meet the above TOPIK requirements during their first semester. (3) Preliminary assessment: Those who do not meet the above language proficiency requirements can still apply for admission but once passed, they must complete the online application process after meeting the language proficiency requirements. [Preliminary assessment] - Those who do not meet the language proficiency requirements can still apply for admission and get selected based on their other academic abilities. - Successful applicants will receive a Letter of Preliminary Acceptance. - In order for them to be admitted to Sejong University, they need to complete the online application process upon satisfying of the language proficiency requirement again (choice of department cannot be changed). At this time, the application fee will be waived, and the students will not be required to re-submit any of the documents they have already submitted. - Once they are admitted and receive a Letter of Acceptance, they will enroll by paying the tuition fees. - The Letter of Preliminary Acceptance will remain effective for a year starting from the date on which the application for preliminary assessment was first submitted. The language proficiency requirements must be met and any subsequent online application must be completed within this period. Admitted undergraduate students of Korean Track programs must pass Level 4 (Level 3 for students applying for Dance or Applied Music) or higher of TOPIK before graduation. International applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements: A. Applicants who have completed 2 or more years of the coursework in a 4-year university or received a degree in a 2/3-year junior college (those who expect completion of course work or reception of degree before August 30, 2015 are also eligible.) If you are enrolled in a 4-year university, you are eligible to apply in case you have earned more than 50% of the credits required for graduation. The number of credits awarded to each course should be indicated in the transcript. Graduates of Chinese school must submit academic verification stating that the diploma holder is able to continue their study in senior years of undergraduate program for a Bachelor's degree. B. A non-korean national who satisfies language proficiency requirements specified below: 1) A person who meets at least one of the following language proficiency requirements TOEIC TEPS IELTS TOPIK 550 210 80 700 550 5.5 Level 3/4(*) (*) Korean Language and Literature/Commnication Arts/Business Administration applicants: TOPIK Level 4 2) A person who has registered in the Center of International Education of Sejong University for more than 6 months, completed Korean language course of level 4 or higher at the Center of International Education of Sejong University, have a letter of recommendation by its dean, and meet the TOPIK requirement within their first semester. Students who have submitted TOPIK score in the application must pass Level 4 or higher of the TOPIK before graduation. Admissions for both freshmen and transfer students require academic records on regular programs offered by educational institutions accredited under the education laws of foreign countries (The following courses and exams do not qualify: language courses, university preparatory courses, continuing [lifelong] education courses, adult university courses, correspondence courses, Internet courses, high school diploma equivalency exams in the U.S. and Canada (like GED), and the Higher Education Self-taught Examination System of China [gaodengjiaoyu zixuekaoshi]). 3

Applicable to international applicants residing in Korea at the time of application The deposit balance should be fixed at least 6 months from the date of application. Issuance date of the certificate should be within a month at the submission date. Sponsors are limited to parents, linear ascendant, linear siblings, and spouse. If the sponsor is not a parent of the applicant, the certificate issued by the country's government proving the relation of the sponsor to the applicant should be submitted. If a transfer applicant is currently enrolled in a Chinese university, the applicant should submit the verified graduation certificate. Ⅴ Screening Criteria Admission decisions are made taking into consideration the candidate s academic achievements and activities, and academic records in the major based on the study plan and other achievement records and specific qualifications, such as language proficiency. Interviews, auditions, and/or additional documents may be required as dictated by the policy of the individual college or department, and the individual college or department will contact the applicant if required. Ⅵ Application Procedure Go to the Sejong University Website (http://eng.sejong.ac.kr) OR the Online Application Website (www.jinhakapply.com), and Click "Online Application" banner Sign up for a membership in the Online Application Website and Log in Read the admission guideline and notes for application Fill out the application form and confirm the information entered Pay the application fee(credit card or wire transfer is available) Print out the application form and submit it with other required documents to CISS Check the guideline to online application Make sure to pay the application fee in order to complete the online application 1. Notes for Online Application - The standard method for application is via the Undergraduate Admission for International Students banner on the Sejong website. It is only compatible with 5.0 or higher version of Internet Explorer. - For the Fall 2015 term, the deadline for online application is 5:00PM, May 15 (Friday), 2015 (Korea local time). To apply successfully, all relevant information must be entered, and the application fee must be paid in full, prior to this time. - Applicants whose application forms and supporting documents are incomplete or unsatisfactory will be disqualified from the admissions process. - It is strongly recommended that you complete the online application as early as you can because the system might become unstable or go down close to the deadline due to the rush of hits. 2. Notes for Submission of Required Documents - After completing your online application, print out the application form and send your application packet to the following address via registered mail or submit it in person. The admissions staff reserves the right to require additional documents from the applicant, should there arise a need to verify the authenticity of submitted materials. - Your application packet must arrive at the CISS before 5:00PM, May 20 (Wednesday), 2015 (Korea local time). - All documents must be original except where specified otherwise. Where the original is not available, the copy certified by the originating institution can be submitted. - Any document that is not in Korean or English must be accompanied by a notarized Korean or English translation. Please submit the original document as well. 5
Ⅶ Important Notes for Applicants 1. Applicants will take full responsibility for any disadvantages due to mistakes or omissions on the application. Please be reminded that, in principle, any modification or cancellation will not be accepted after completing the application. 2. Be sure to keep photocopies of all completed forms. Any documents and/or materials submitted with the application become the property of SU and will not be returned to the applicant. The application fee is non-refundable. 3. A detailed information of any individual admissions decision will not be disclosed 4. If any of the submitted materials contains false information, admission will be rescinded. 5. In the event of an expected graduate of the current year fails to graduate prior to the beginning of his/her scheduled entrance, he/she will have his/her admission status cancelled. 6. Be sure to understand that the University issues only the Certificate of Admissions for student visa (Type: D2) application for the admitted students. 7. If an applicant applies from outside Korea and is admitted to the University but his/her application for a D-2 student visa is rejected by the Justice Ministry, the admission for the applicant will be cancelled. 8. Important notice will be provided by email only. Please write down your primary email address in the application form. If you want to change email address, please let us know shortly. Also, periodically check your email for any important notice. Ⅷ Application Fee and Tuition 1. In the interest of fairness in the admissions process, applicants are not allowed to withdraw their application once the application is complete (once the application fee is paid). In principle, the application fee is not refundable unless any of SU s acceptable reasons for a refund is satisfied. B. Acceptable reasons for a refund: Any reason that is not attributable to the applicant or outside the applicant s control, including a natural disaster, the applicant s hospitalization or injury from an accident and SU s mistake, is considered acceptable.
