College Visits Information Attention students who participate in college visits. Once you are given your pass to attend from student services it is your responsibility to show it to your teacher. No announcements will be made to remind you or release you from class.

Recycling Reminder! This is a reminder that recycling started this semester. Please have your bins outside your classroom doors no later than 9:15 am on your recycling day. Here is a schedule of hallways by date: Monday - 500 and 200 Halls, Tuesday - 700 and 400 halls, Wednesday - 900 and 300 halls, and Thursday - 600 and 800 halls. Please remember that only recyclable materials should be in the bins. If a bottle has fluid in it, it is not recyclable. If a paper bag has food in it, it is not recyclable.
Titan Seniors: PTSA Scholarship Titan Seniors! The PTSA has $2000.00 in scholarship award money for qualifying seniors. If you are interested in applying for a PTSA Scholarship the first step is to JOIN THE PTSA. You can join by going to the Hopewell website and clicking on Membership under the PTSA link. Once you ve joined our PTSA, click on the Scholarships link where you can find the application. Students should complete the application and submit it to Ms. Connor by May 1st, 2018.
Titan Spirit Wear for 2018-2019 Get your Titan spirit gear for the 2018-2019 school year! The Hopewell PTSA, in conjunction with the Hopewell Athletic Boosters, is providing one-stop shopping for your Hopewell spirit gear. Each spirit pack includes: a drawstring bag, a Hopewell t-shirt, a 32 oz. water bottle, an ink pen, 2 pencils, 2 tickets to the first home football game after school begins in August, and a cell phone pocket for the first 225 customers, then a car magnet will replace the cell phone pocket.that s a $50 value for ONLY $25, plus a processing fee! Items will have a Hopewell logo and/or the school name imprinted on them. Spirit packs will be delivered the first week of school in August. Orders are being taken through June 1, 2018. Go online to the Hopewell High School home page, click on the PTSA link on the left, then click on Hopewell Spirit Packs. Select the t-shirt size, give the full name of your student, and their grade level for next year, prior to paying. Order your spirit pack today!
FAFSA Completion Event The University City Branch of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Library will hold a FAFSA completion event on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Financial aid experts will be available to assist students and families with FAFSA completion.

AsULead at Appalachian State University Appalachian State University would like to invite rising seniors to apply for AsULead, a selective, on-campus leadership and college information program. AsULead is a four-day summer program for historically underrepresented rising high school seniors that provides the opportunity to develop leadership skills and learn about the college application process (including financial aid, scholarships, essay and résumé training). AsULead takes place on Appalachian's campus July 23 26, and the deadline to apply is May 15. Go to the App State website to apply!
2017-2018 YearBook Did you miss the opportunity to purchase a 2017-2018 yearbook online? Luckily, you're not too late! If you'd like to reserve a yearbook for your Titan, please send cash, check, or a money order made out to Hopewell High School for $80 to Ms. Foster in Student Services. The final yearbooks are being sold on a first come, first served basis. Once all yearbooks are sold, there will not be another opportunity to purchase! Do not wait until it's too late!
Marching Band Jamboree May 5th Come one, Come all to what promises to be the largest High School marching band event in the Charlotte area! The Hopewell Titanium Sound band presents it's inaugural Marching band Jamboree. May 5th here at Hopewell s football stadium at 1 pm. Featuring 4 of Charlotte's top marching bands from Vance High School, West Charlotte High School, Mallard Creek High School and the award-winning Hopewell Titanium Sound Marching band! Come get your eat on with Ribs, Fish, fried candy bars and an assortment of other concessions while you see the bands battle it out for bragging rights! Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults. $10 for everyone at the gate. See your favorite band member or Mr. Diggs in the band room for tickets. Doors open at Noon! See you there!
Seniors in Hotspot Program If you are a senior who is participating in the Sprint wifi hotspot program, you need to return your hotspot as well as the power cord and box to Ms. Wallace in the Media Center during your lunch no later than Thursday, May 24th.
Titanium Sound Marching Band Congratulations to the Titanium Sound Marching Band. Under the leadership and direction of Mr. Eugene Diggs our amazing band has received an invitation from Senator Thom Tillis to be an Official Representative of the State of North Carolina in the 2019 America s National Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C. on July 4 th. Please be sure to congratulate members of the band and Mr. Diggs on this amazing opportunity for our students to represent our school in the Nation s capital.
